The new season of Sister Wives has arrived, with Kody Brown and his four wives high tailing it to Las Vegas, Nevada since they were facing polygamy charges in Utah. What will the new season bring for Kody, Janelle, Christine, Meri, and Robyn? Lots of drama or will it be one big lovefest?
Kody Brown and the Sister Wives said they “knew what the risks were” when they decided to do the reality show. Not willing to say how much they are paid per episode, rumor is the family receives at least $250k per year for their participation in the show.
In a new interview, Kody Brown explains why the family moved. He says, “We didn’t want this thing hanging over us,” said Kody Brown, a salesman and the patriarch of the family. “We went to Vegas with hopes of having a good life, preserving the family. … We never did anything here at all to be rebellious, to challenge the statutes of the law, or anything like that. We still have our family,” Robyn, Brown’s fourth wife, said. “That’s all it boils down to.”
In the end, the Browns said they were glad they have at least raised awareness about their particular lifestyle and shown that even as polygamists they are a loving family.”We started this so that we would hopefully open and create more tolerance in the world,” Janelle Brown said. “I hope that’s what we’re accomplishing here.” Sister Wives, not as good as Big Love, but still fun to wach.
It’s official, TLC hit “Sister Wives” will be back for another season. Tonight in an exclusive TLC interview, Kody Brown confesses a “ick factor” when he discovered fourth wife Robyn, had been married before and had three children. I guess it’s safe to say that the husband of the Sister Wives, isn’t very self aware.
Robyn Sullivan’s first husband, David Preston Jessop, was apparently outraged that his children are being featured on the new hit reality show, “Sister Wives”. I’m surprised in Utah they didn’t require his approval as well. In 1999, Robyn married David in a simple wedding ceremony. Both from a polygamist background, the couple decided to have a more traditional marriage. In 2007, Robyn Sullivan and David separated, in their divorce decree they stipulated, “neither parent shall consume excessive amounts of alcohol in the children’s presence.” I guess they forgot to mention that neither parent would appear on a reality show either.
The other “Sister Wives” have referred to Robyn Sullivan as the trophy wife, with Kody Brown lavishing excessive amounts of attention on her. This situation has caused an excessive amount of jealousy between his wives, Meri and Christine. The other “Sister Wives” have to share time with Kody during the week, while Robyn gets to spend an entire weekend with her new husband. In the new TLC interview tonight, the family gives us an update on the marriage and how the other “Sister Wives” are getting along with Robyn.
Astrologically, Astrochicks predicts trouble in paradise for Kody Brown and his four “Sister Wives”. I think fame and fortune mixed with polygamy could be a lethal combination.
Sister Wives, the new hit TLC show is like watching a car crash, you know you shouldn’t be looking but at the same time you can’t turn away. Kody Brown the star of the show, has three wives and is marrying a fourth. For most men, that sounds like a complete nightmare. Are they as happy as they look? Probably not. Robyn’s pending wedding to Kody, has caused a lot of jealousy amongst the wives, especially Meri and Christina.
Astrochicks reached out to Canada’s Celebrity Psychic, Barb Powell, to get the inside cosmic scoop on the Sister Wives family. In case you never watched the reality show, Sister Wives documents the life of a polygamist family living in Lehi, Utah, which includes patriarch Kody Brown, his three wives and their 13 children. Including new hot young wife, Robyn, and her three kids. Mix and match, Kody Brown has four wives and 16 children.
Here’s Celebrity Psychic, Barb Powell’s take on Sister Wives. She says, ” I’ve watched the show…I’m a reality TV junkie. It’s very compelling. Of course the husband Kody Brown, is on his best behavior for the cameras. It appears his first wife, Meri, wears the pants in the family, along with Christina. Kody Brown is like most men (sorry guys), he lives in his own little world and isn’t totally plugged into the needs of his family. He smiles his goofy grin, with his surfer dude look, acting concerned but not always listening.
Kody Brown has a good soul though, he’s a sensitive guy and empathic. Once he knows someone in the Sister Wives family is REALLY hurting emotionally, he jumps right in and trys to help solve the problem. On the Sister Wives possible polygamy charges, I don’t think anything will be filed. I’m sure the state of Utah is being pushed to investigate Kody Brown and the Sister Wives, by other religious and political groups. If I’m to predict this outcome, no one will be going to jail. Kody Brown is only legally married to his first wife, Meri, the rest of the women have only had a spiritual ceremony.
Sister Wives I predict will continue to be a hit, the new 4th wife Robyn, will cause more drama and jealousy in the household. The other Sister Wives will feel like Kody Brown is paying too much attention to her. Also, I predict one of the wives will leave the marriage. His fourth wife Robyn, the relationship will start off with a bang and slowly fade into the background. Her children are not his children. Robyn’s already been divorced once and reality for the couple will set in. Robyn won’t be happy at all, she wants and needs all the attention, but she will have to share Kody Brown. In the end, it makes great TV and TLC ends up being the winner.

TLC’s new reality show, Sister Wives, is a huge hit. On Sunday, over 2 million people tuned in to watch Kody Brown and his three wives share their life with America. Of course, announcing to the world that you are a polygamist family has its risks. In fact, the Utah police announced they were investigating the family for bigamy.
Sister Wive Meri the first wife, grew up up in a polygamist family and married Kody when she was only 19. She has only one child and was unable to have anymore children. She seems the sweetest of the wives, the least demanding and the most accommodating to the other wives. She does admit that she’s jealous of the other wives, especially the new wife Robyn.
Sister Wive Janelle is the second wife and has six children. She’s one of the bread winners of the family, says she has always been a career woman. She almost seems like the second husband of the family. In the first episode she stresses how she hates housework and likes that she has other Sister Wives to watch the kids. Her oldest son Logan, makes the kids breakfast in the morning. Interesting.
Sister Wive Christine is the third wife, seems the most needy. She was raised in a polygamist family. For years she was in love with Kody Brown but he was unable to commit to her. After being friends for several years, they finally decided to get married. She has five children and another baby on the way. They all seem happy, is it real or just an act? Christine is the Mama Bear of the house and watches over all the children. She also admits she has jealous of the new wife Robyn.
Sister Wive Robyn will be the fourth wife, she’s only 30 years old and bring three children to the family. On TLC, we get to see Kody Brown “court” his new wife and how the other Sister Wives react to it. The children seem to be thrilled to have a new mom enter the family. Bizarre…
What’s the big attraction for Kody Brown? An Advertising Sales executive, he looks like a surfer dude, who drives a Lexus and seems to be doing financially well. Although Kody Brown and his first wive Meri filed for bankruptcy in 2005. The house they live in is actually owned by Sister Wive Janelle and Kody. Why did he get a fourth wife, Astrochicks opinion is he loves his other wives but is bored and wants something new romantically and sexually. Definitely an interesting show, a must watch.
TLC Sister Wives premiered to big numbers this weekend. In case you missed it, Sister Wives is about Kody Brown, a polygamist in Utah, and his four wives. Together they have 13 children and 3 step children.Yesterday, police in Lehi, Utah announced that Kody Brown the star of Sister Wives, is under police investigation for possible charge of felony bigamy.
If Astrochicks remembers correctly, Kody Brown is only married to his first wive and the other three are only “spiritual” wives. I don’t think he can be charged with a felony for living with multiple women. Men cheat on their wives all the time and don’t tell them. For Kody Brown, it’s one big happy family. For TLC, big fat ratings for Sister Wives.
Utah police say,”At the conclusion of the investigation of Kody Brown, the evidence will be forwarded to the Utah County Attorney’s Office for review and possible prosecution,” says Lt. Darren Paul.
Police acknowledged that publicity over TLC’s Sister Wives announcement prompted the case. Bigamy is a third-degree felony in Utah but is rarely investigated. Kody Brown and his wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn have 13 children and three stepchildren. They say they will lead a lifestyle that they want, even if it means breaking away from tradition. “If we raise productive, contributing members of society who are moral and ethical, that’s our final goal, whatever their path is,” says Janelle, 40, who has six children with Kody.
If they are happy the Sister Wives family should be left alone, the only concern is the welfare of Kody Brown’s kids who may not understand the lifestyle. I’m sure this investigation will only help the popularity of the TLC show. It’s a definite watch, Astrochicks finds Sister Wives fascinating. Check it out on Sunday nights.
On Sunday, TLC’s new TV show Sister Wives, will air its first episode. It’s the reality version of Big Love minus Bill Paxton. Is husband Kody Brown really a polygamist or just a swinger in disguise? Astrochicks is already obsessed with the Sister Wives and I haven’t even seen it yet.
The new TLC show focuses on polygamist, Kody Brown, a sales executive, who could easily pass for a surfer dude in LA. Move over Kate Plus 8, Sister Wives is guaranteed to be a big hit.
Sister Wives, the new TLC docu-series following polygamist Kody Brown, his three wives (Meri, Janelle, and Christine), and their combined 12 children as they welcome a fourth wife and her three kids. They all seem freakishly happy and it makes me wonder, how can a guy with four wives keep all those ladies happy. He definitely is a cute guy but not sure what’s so appealing about living in a house with 16 kids. UGH!
One important fact that Kody Brown points out is he’s not Mormon, he’s part of the reformed church and just happens to “love” the polygamist lifestyle. Translation, he’s a horn dog, or a modern swinger, who wants as many ladies as possible. How does he afford taking care of his Sister Wives and family? I’m sure the TLC check helps, it’s reported Kate makes $1 million per year for her show. Kody Brown and the Sister Wives have to be making at least $500k per year. Either way, it’s a definite watch. Stay tuned. You can check out a sneak peek here. Enjoy!
