The rock world mourns the tragic loss of Chester Bennington, the charismatic lead singer of Linkin Park. Fans were shocked by his death and even more heartbroken when it was revealed he had committed suicide by hanging just like his close friend, Chris Cornell.

In a weird twist of fate, his body was eerily discovered on Chris Cornell’s birthday. Astrochicks takes a look at Bennington’s Astrology Birth Chart to find out what really happened and the haunting details of what his stars reveal.

Chester Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 20, 1976.  Born under the Sun Sign of sensitive Pisces, his mom was a nurse, and his dad a police detective who worked on child sex abuse cases. Bennington took an interest in rock music at a young age, noting bands like Stone Temple Pilots as his early musical inspiration. Bennington would go on to achieve a childhood dream and front the band from 2013 to 2015.  Later, he left the band on good terms due to his commitments with Linkin Park in 2015.

As a Pisces, his friends and family always mentioned Bennington’s sweet soul and kind nature, and how much they loved him. He was a trusted and loyal friend, who was always available to help someone in need.

Chester Bennington’s Astrology Birth Chart reveals a dark emotional side with Moon in Scorpio.  Scorpio is a Water sign, which relates to the emotional, psychological and spiritual dimensions of life. It shows he had intense emotional needs, and he could be prone to depression but on the positive side, he was perceptive, powerful, and transformational. Every day for him was an emotional rollercoaster ride flipping the coin from light to dark.

In relationships, Chester Bennington had Venus in Pisces and Mars in Cancer. It shows someone who’s incredibly romantic, moody, and sensitive. He felt everyone’s pain so deeply and with all the water in his astrological chart, he must have felt like he was drowning in his emotions and was too tired to save himself, and decided to let go.

When Astrochicks looks back at previous interviews, Chester Bennington always spoke of his deep sadness and the emotional hangover he felt on a daily basis. The Linkin Park singer revealed he thought about committing suicide often as a kid because of the terrible pain he felt over being abused as a child from the age of 7 to 13 by an older male friend. Just like his friend Chris Cornell, who mentioned he would have dark thoughts all the time and think about what it would be like to jump out of a window or kill himself.

To comfort himself, Chester Bennington channeled his pain into creativity and drew pictures, wrote poems, and lyrics. Later, he revealed the abuser’s identity to his dad but chose not to prosecute like a true Pisces after he had realized the abuser was a victim himself.

The singer spent years battling his inner demons and struggled to stay sober after years of drug and alcohol abuse. After arriving in LA with a suitcase full of dreams,  Chester Bennington was frustrated and almost ready to quit his dream of becoming a rock star when Jeff Blue, the VP of A&R at Zomba Music in LA, offered him an audition with the future members of the band Linkin Park. The rest is musical history.

Chester Bennington was very close with Chris Cornell born under the Sun Sign of Cancer, who also committed suicide by hanging in May. The Linkin Park singer wrote an open letter to Cornell on the day of his suicide. Tragically, today would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.  Was Chester missing his friend and chose this day on purpose? You can read Chris Cornell’s Astrology Chart here.

Chris Cornell’s wife, Vicky, tweeted out a message to his wife following the news of Chester Bennington’s death, saying, “Just when I thought my heart couldn’t break anymore … I love you, T.”

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Bennington was home alone at his Palos Verdes estate at the time of the suicide. They were told his wife and children were out of town and he was found upstairs by an employee. The strangest aspect to his death was that he was with his family in Arizona the day before, and the morning his body was discovered he had a photo shoot scheduled and a Linkin Park tour kicking off later this month. Did something happen in Arizona to push Bennington over the edge or did he have a temporary drug relapse? His family and friends may never know.

Just like Linkin Park’s lyrics, Chester Bennington wrote… I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end, it doesn’t even matter. I had to fall to lose it all.  Chester leaves behind a beautiful wife, six kids, bandmates, family, friends, and millions of fans who will mourn the loss of him forever. RIP! I hope he finds peace at the big rock festival in the sky with his buddy Chris Cornell. Bennington’s funeral will be reportedly held next week.
