EDGAR CAYCE Psychic Predictions: Astrology Chart of a Mystic Healer

Edgar Cayce is famous for being an American healer and mystic who was born on March 18th, 1877. Cayce was known for making, a huge number of psychic predictions over the course of his life, many of which were about world events and future happenings. He was also celebrated as a healer and mystic who was adept at medical diagnosis and treatment. What is interesting about Edgar Cayce from an astrological point of view? Well, just about everything when we go back to his birth date and take a look at his Astrology Chart.

Edgar Cayce, the famous healer, was born on March 18th which means his Sun was in the Zodiac sign of Pisces. Why is that significant? Because a huge number of famous mystics, clairvoyants, healers, and psychics were also born under the Zodiac water sign of the Fish. So, what makes Pisces people more likely to have psychic abilities? It comes down to several factors.

Pisces and Mysticism:

Pisces has always been associated with mysticism, and this Zodiac sign rules the spiritual realm. Those unique souls born under the Zodiac sign of Pisces are born with a natural intuition and psychic ability, and as a child, Edgar Cayce was said to be able to see his deceased relatives and speak to the dead.

This Zodiac sign is also closely connected to the imagination which is significant in the case of Edgar Cayce. He wasn’t simply a mystic, but he made most of his psychic predictions when he was in a trance or the supernatural realm that Pisces covers. Pisces is linked strongly to dreams, and Edgar Cayce was given a nickname by his biographer. What was it? ‘The Sleeping Prophet.’

In fact, Cayce may never have realized his ability had he not heard a voice telling him to go to sleep when he was struggling with a spelling test as a child. When he woke up, he had somehow memorized the entire spelling book. From this, we can see that Edgar Cayce’s abilities were much stronger when he was dreaming than when he was awake which is typical of the way that Pisces people often see visions.

In Astrology, the opposite Zodiac sign of sensitive Pisces on an astrological wheel is intuitive Virgo. Our opposite sign usually has something that draws us to it but with which we might have a conflict. In this case, Virgo is the sign of health and Cayce was a well-known healer. He did not, however, do it in the traditional way by following Western medicine, but instead took this influence and mixed it with his methods. He would examine patients and diagnose them while in a trance as well as prescribe treatment that came to him in messages when he was asleep. This is the perfect blend of his opposite sign Virgo (health) merging with Pisces (spirituality and mysticism) to come up with his way of healing.

Pisces is a Water sign:

Pisces is the Zodiac sign of the Fish so it’s a Water sign and in astrology, water is seen as the feeling element. Continuing with the water analogy, Pisces are said to have hidden depths. They rule everything that is under the surface, as our deep inner feelings. Where other Zodiac signs may ignore these, Pisces is directly tapped into anything that is out of sight.

Water is also closely linked to empathy, so anyone with a strong Water element in their chart is highly empathetic and in tune with others. As a Pisces, Edgar Cayce was drawn to help those around him, and he even worked with families during the Second World War when he would do readings about the locations of their loved ones who had died in battle.

Pisces is a mutable sign:

Pisces, along with Gemini and Virgo is a mutable sign which means that it is changeable. Like water, mutable signs adapt to situations and take on the feelings and energy of everything around them. In this sense, Pisces is an empty vessel which absorbs the environment and links into psychic ability. Edgar Cayce proved this ability many times with patients, and in a trance-like a state he often took on qualities of their past lives and their astrological profiles.

Pisces ruled by Neptune:

It’s probably no surprise that Pisces is ruled by Neptune, god of the Sea. Again, this is the water element being repeated time and time again. This is also interesting when we look at Edgar Cayce’s work as one of his main predictions was focused on Atlantis, the mythical lost city. In Greek mythology, Atlantis was sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, and in his trance-like states, Cayce claimed he knew the location of the city.

The sea became another prominent element in Edgar Cayce’s readings when he decided to open a hospital and research center in his name to treat patients. Financial backers offered to pay for it, but Cayce did several readings where he saw that the hospital needed to be in Virginia Beach, a coastal town. Edgar Cayce grew up in Kentucky, hardly known for its sea views, but with Neptune as the ruler of Pisces, it makes perfect sense that his visions told him he needed to be close to water. Finally, his financier agreed to his plans and a hospital was built in Virginia Beach which helped heal many patients.

Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac:

Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac on the astrological wheel when is also important. Every sign is said to build on the characteristics of the sign before it and so by definition Pisces is the wisest or the ‘old soul’ of the zodiac. As the last sign, however, Pisces has one foot in the past and one looking forward into the future for the next phase to begin. This matches up perfectly with Edgar Cayce who had visions of events that had yet to happen. Many of these were recorded, and Edgar Cayce became known as the ‘Miracle Man of Virginia Beach.’

Edgar Cayce was a man who was way before his time and nowadays he is credited with pioneering the New Age movement. It may seem strange that the son of a farmer from Kentucky would go on to be one of the most famous American mystics and healers of the 20th century, but when you know astrology you can see that it was written in the stars.
