Scott Weiland the former lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver has tragically died today. The rock star was discovered on his tour bus dead in Minnesota on Thursday night. Did he die of a drug overdose?
Born in Santa Cruz, under the zodiac sign of Scorpio, Scott Weiland recently celebrated his 48th birthday on Oct 27th. Like a true Scorpio, Weiland wasn’t afraid to take a roller coaster ride on the dark side and was best known for his flamboyant and intense persona.
Scott Weiland’s Moon in Leo squared his Sun in Scorpio revealing a person who suffered from deep insecurities. Most likely fueled by being raped at the age of 12 by a local high school student. It’s reported, Weiland made his first trip to rehab as a teenager to cope with a drug addiction and bi-polar disorder.
His Venus in Virgo made him a talented musician and gifted songwriter. In his personal life, his astrology chart reveals someone who demanded complete control over those he loved.
In 2011, Weiland revealed in his memoir Not Dead & Not For Sale how STP fired him in Feb 2013, stating in the press: ” Not sure how I can be ‘terminated’ from a band that I founded, fronted and co-wrote many of its biggest hits, but that’s something for the lawyers to figure out.”
Astrologically speaking, Saturn in Sagittarius recently squared his Venus in Virgo. This planetary aspect would have opened up old emotional wounds on both a personal and professional level. No doubt, Scott Weiland would have felt betrayed by those he loved and sadly succumbed to his addictions.
The band’s management team posted the following message on Weiland’s Facebook page: “Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time, we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.”
Most fans will remember Scott Weiland as one of the greatest rock singers of all time and for his hit rock classics Plush, Vasoline, and Interstate Love Song.
His funeral is anticipated to be held in Los Angeles next weekend. RIP Scott Weiland: sending love and light to his friends and family.
