Will Leonardo DiCaprio finally score an Oscar for his role in The Great Gatsby? The highly anticipated film is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Long Island-set novel, where Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby, aka DiCaprio.
The romantic drama, co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke. It follows the life and times of millionaire Jay Gatsby and his neighbor Nick, who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties. Where Nick sees through the cracks of Gatsby’s nouveau riche existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await.
In the new film, Leonardo DiCaprio a Scorpio, will channel his inner Gatsby, when hate isn’t the opposite of love. Indifference is. If you know anything about Scorpios, they are intuitive, passionate and self confident. The Scorpio man will often know all your secrets before you know much, if anything, about him. What he doesn’t learn from you directly he’ll pick up from reading between the lines, and you’ll soon realize that in many ways he’s in control of the relationship, all without seemingly lifting a finger. Sounds like Jay Gatsby to Astrochicks.
The Great Gatsby soundtrack will drop on May 7, with a deluxe edition featuring three extra tracks as a Target exclusive. Artists include Sia, Jay Z, Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey are featured on the album among many other artists associated with the New York landscape.
