AMERICAN IDOL Spoilers, Kree Harrison Next Country Star, Parents Tragic Death!

kree harrisonTonight Kree Harrison took us “Up to the Mountain” on American Idol tonight and the view was spectacular. The Nashville singer blew the competition away with her emotional rendition of the gospel song. Sailing into the top twenty, she’s definitely a shining star to watch. What other singers made it to the top 20? American Idol spoilers straight ahead.

Keith Urban and Mariah Carey believe a girl will win American Idol this singer. Well, it’s definitely overdue and there are a few singers who could easily be the next Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood.

The one singer who stood out most wes Kree Harrison. After her Idol performance, Urban said afterward, “You don’t over-try, you don’t have any desperation when you sing. There’s an effortless believability. It’s authentic” and Nicki Minaj added, “I would be very afraid if I was any of these other girls here tonight … every time you sing a song, you make love to the song.”

What most American Idol fans might not know is Kree Harrison’s heart wrenching story. At the tender age of 12, her father died in a plane crash and her mother died later in a car accident when she was only 16. So sad…

Kree was briefly signed to Lyric Street Records when she was 12 years old — and Examiner explains that she didn’t want to become another Disney act. Sorry Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, etc.  Smart girl, she has such a soulful voice and Astrochicks absolutely loves her!

  1. I really loved Kree’s performance. I can’t wait to see her in the live round – I have a feeling she’s going to be around for a long time. Tonight’s episode with the guys should be an interesting one. I actually won’t be home to watch it live because I’ll be working my shift at DISH. The nice thing is that since my DISH Hopper automatically records all the primetime shows on Fox, I’ll be able to get caught up in no time.
