Some people know him and some don’t, but for 24-year-old Brooklyn native Ricky Blaze, his music speaks for itself. Fader magazine labeled one of his many sounds as a genre of it’s own (Trancehall named after his Trance – Dancehall fusion production). In 2009 Ricky discovered and produced Brooklyn Pop Star Chelley with her smash club song “Took The Night” which landed her a deal with indie dance label Ultra Records. He also produced a hit for himself (“Just You And I”), which landed him a record deal with Atlantic Records.
Ricky Blaze a Leo has produced music for artist such as Wiz Khalifa, Jazmine Sullivan, Shaggy, Akon, Sean Kingston and more. In 2012, Santigold released her single “Disperate Youths” produced by Ricky Blaze, which was featured in a 2013 Honda commercial.
With all his time being spent making hits for others, Ricky has not lost his magic touch for himself as he prepares to release his new free mix tape titled “The Maestro” as he proclaims he is the head of his ceremony. The first single is a club starter dedicated to beautiful confident women called “Kill Em” featuring Harlem’s Dipset and reality television star Jim Jones.
For former Love & Hip Hop star, Jim Jones, he recently dropped “Green Light Go” and it was hand delivered with new rumors that a Diplomats reunion project is in the works with Cam’Ron and Juelz Santana.
