Jermaine Paul, may be the winner of “The Voice,” has been flying high since Tuesday, when he was crowned with a recording contract and $100,000 dollars. One of his biggest fans, Alicia Keys, was thrilled that her backup singer won.
In a new new interview, Jermaine said, “She was screaming with excitement,” recounted Paul, “She told me she’s been watching me and supporting me the whole time. She was saying how proud of me she was.”
On iTunes, Jermaine may have won “The Voice,” but runner up, Tony Lucca, has TWO top ten hits on iTunes already. Lucca, who was constantly criticized by Christina Aguilera, has the last laugh. His Jay Z cover, “99 Problems,” is number 7 on the charts and his duet “Yesterday,” is number 8. Paul not far behind, has hit the top ten.
Lucca’s arch nemesis, Aguilera in her Batman tights continued to be a Bitter Betty, and had harsh words for her former Mickey Mouse mate. She told Tony, “I thought you sounded great. I mean, you have a really cool voice,” said the diva before adding with a slight hint of acid, “I know your beautiful wife and your daughter and family are here tonight, and I just thought, you know, the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women, you know, but all in all it was good fun.”
Astrologically speaking, Astrochicks predicts that all top four Voice finalists will get recording contracts. The talent this year was phenomenal on the show. Blake Shelton is the man and the coach to have. Congrats to Jermaine Paul, Tony Lucca, Juliet Simms, and Chris Mann.
