For MTV, Teen Mom and 16 + Pregnant, have been HUGE hits for the popular television network. Unfortunately, the young Moms have been financially rewarded for bad behavior, and MTV has glorified the experience of having kids, when frankly you’re still a kid yourself.

Teen Mom is like a bad car accident, you can’t help but stare. Each week, millions of MTV fans watch these girls make asses of themselves, get arrested, deal with substance abuse, and jump in and out of relationships like a revolving door. FINALLY, MTV will retire the current batch of Moms, and introduce new ones.

For Amber Portwood, she dove head first into the reality pond with 16 and Pregnant. Afterward, she graduated to Teen Mom and her life spiraled out of control. Her volatile relationship with baby daddy, Gary, her anger management and emotional issues were displayed weekly, so fans could watch the train wreck unfold.

Just before Christmas 2011, Amber was thrown in jail for drug possession, and has recently been treated at Sister 2 Sister Ministries, for her addiction. Although her ex-boyfriend, Gary, has full custody of their daughter, Leah, Amber still gets to see her occasionally (while supervised). Will she ever get custody of Leah back? Teen Mom fans think she should.

Born under the astrology sign of Taurus, Amber Portwood is definitely a stubborn girl. Astrologically speaking, the next two years will be tough for her.  For Astrochicks, the courts have to do what’s best for Leah, and Amber Portwood has a long road to recovery ahead of her. Life in the fast lane, appearing on a reality show, only seems to have made her problems worse. Obviously, she was emotionally unprepared to be a Teen Mom or be on a hit TV show.

Hopefully, now that MTV is retiring Teen Mom after Season 4, Amber can get the REAL help that she needs. Wishing her the best.
