Why has Somaya Reece gone AWOL on the new season of Love & Hip Hop? The drama is heating up between all the girls, Chrissy and Yandy are at odds over Jim Jones, and Kimbella has annoyed everyone except Somaya. Where’s our hot Latina girl?
Hailed as the next Sophia Loren on AskMen, Somaya ranks number 74 on the top 99 list for 2012. The ultimate triple threat, she’s has already proven herself as an actress, as a model and a singer. Lets not forget a business chick as well.
Born under the astrology zodiac sign of Capricorn, Somaya Reece is a down to earth girl, with dollar signs in her eyes. Don’t get Astrochicks wrong, she’s no gold digger, and wants to earn her own cash. Work before love, astrologically she’s focused on everything Hollywood has to offer.
Monica: Why don’t we see you as much on Love and Hip Hop this season?
Somaya: I was in the first few episodes. I have no idea what happened because I did have a lot of story to add yet I don’t see it on the show. Like what happens with Swift, the album, the developing friendship with Chrissy, my rap single Eh Mama, my re-negotiation with Barry, my family issues, the image development, my signing with the top talent agency in Hollywood that I got by myself? What happened to all of that?
Monica: So, what’s going on with you now?
Somaya: First of all I fired Maurice! After that everything fell into place. I got my investor to commit. Not only did I get an investor but I negotiated a half a million dollar contract to a million dollar contract! That s*** is unheard of and I’m so proud of that. My fans and girls should have seen that. A woman taking care of business behind the scenes.
What Astrochicks wants to know if the love stars collided for Somaya and Swift? Are the VH1 producers on Love & Hip Hop not showing more of our Capricorn girl because she has her personal biz together?
Somaya says: ” I have a fabulous love life that is functional. Swift as you saw from the show has been nothing but great to me. They showed none of our relationship! I guess it’s not dysfunctional enough. The sad part is women would have loved to see some positivity along with the drama and seen me find love! Women need to see if a woman like myself who has been through so much s*** and hard times can finally find a nice guy that treats me nice. They have a chance!” Astrochicks hopes that Swift puts a ring on it…maybe they will show that on Love & Hip Hop next season.
