DANCING WITH THE STARS FINALS, Brandy Norwood and Maks Fans Twitter Posts!
The elimination of Dancing With the Stars partners, Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy has caused a serious fan backlash. An angry mob of DWTS fans, hit Twitter and Facebook to protest Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas making it to the finals. Did Brandy deserve to be eliminated from Dancing With the Stars?
First, Dancing With the Star is a competition and an entertainment show. Brandy and Maks were technically perfect but didn’t connect with the audience like Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey, and Bristol Palin did. Unfortunately, Maks attitude during the competition was obnoxious and I think the couple were over confident.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy posted the following comment on Twitter tonight: ”WOW! What can I say? If this is a test, I’m failing it… Was raised in a very ‘justice driven’ household & see no justice in ‘DWTS’…. Sorry @4everBrandy if I failed US. You were AMAZING tonight and always”! Please Maks, America is a democracy and people voted you off!!!
Fortunately for Brandy, she understands the value of PR. She wrote the following on Twitter: “My life has truly changed from one of the most challenging experiences of my life! My confidence, strength, and passion has reawakened:) I am forever grateful to God and all of you who believed when I didn’t! Thank you so much for being the best fans in the whole world!! Love Bran”.
In the end, Brandy an Aquarius girl is still a winner and always will be. After appearing on Dancing With the Stars, her star is shining bright again and she has several new career opportunities on the horizon. She has a new album in 2011, her reality show on VH1, and other TV offers. Astrochicks predicts a New Year full of abudance, hope, and love for our girl Brandy. Winning ain’t everything, it’s the journey that matters the most.
are you kidding me…with all the real problems facing millions of people, there are people upset about a dance contest…it is a contest where people vote for their favorite…obviously, Brandy was not a favorite on that night…get a life people…it’s a dance show, enjoy it for that…I am just thrilled that we can watch something other then the junk that is on television today….don’t turn this into just another trashy reality show….
This show, unfortunately,has lost its original focus. And while Maks maybe a little mouthy, Brandy was certainly not overconfident…where you got that idea from I cannot fathom. The backlash is over a political aspect coming into this show. Check out various news media reports ( and not the gossipy kind…reputable outlets) that have emails coming from various factions linking voting for Bristol as a vote for a certain political ideology. If you can’t see this, then you’re blind. THAT’S what the backlash is about. A lost is a lost. And you’re right, this is good PR. But I actually stopped watching the show years ago (I watched the show results after on YouTube this season) because of the unfair voting process. Bristol was ‘improved’ but she was certainly NOT better than Brandy. Brandy lost because Bristol Palin has her mother’s party backing her, plain and simple. And for THAT reason, people should be outraged.
For the record, I voted for Kyle Massey. I love him.I didn’t even know who the kid was before he appeared on DWTS. I find him entertaining and fun to watch.
Jennifer Grey and Brandy are the best technical dancers, I like them, I respect them but they are not my favorite. I can respect a bands music but it doesn’t mean I will buy their album.
Brandy has sold over 30 million records, she has a fan base but maybe they aren’t watching DWTS.
Bristol Palin I admire her, she’s come along way. I’m a Democrat and I don’t think there is a Republican conspiracy.
There are two top dancers in the competition, Jennifer and Kyle, who ever wins is the fan favorite. Viewers need to vote, every single one counts.
It’s not just about being the best dancer, it’s who connect with the audience the best, who is the most entertaining. It’s just a show. At the end of the day Brandy will go home to her multi-million dollar mansion and Bristol will drive back to Alaska in her pick up truck. Give the poor girl some credit.
This may have been the best thing that could have happened to Brandy & Max (my favorites). Look at all the publicity this has stirred. Those that have won the trophy don’t always go on to bigger & better things. And poor Mark now is busy defending why he & Bristol should be there, which could hurt them in the long run. So Brandy, you were right, when 1 door closes, another opens. Get ready for all those doors cause you danced fantastic!!!
I blame the judges for this travesty. They helped set up this fiasco by constantly saying Bristol was “graceful” (yeah, she’s about as graceful as a bull in a china shop), etc. The judges also gave Bristol higher scores than she ever deserved. She should have been the first contestant to go.
At this point, I hope she wins the whole thing. It’ll just serve to further point out the ridiculousness of Bristol Palin, the non-star, the awful dancer, getting into the semi finals over Brandy who was beyond graceful and talented.
I’m kicking DWTS to the curb. I’ll never watch this show again because it’s become a politically motivated joke.
I understand the stars who are voted off are done so by popular voting; however, I have completely lost faith in the American populous. This season has become nothing more than a soapbox for Sarah Palin and her brood. It was difficult enough watching talented stars such as Audrina, Rick and Kurt be eliminated from the show. Last night’s results have given me the swift kick in the bottom to make other choices in my television viewing. I can definitely say that I was a fan of DWTS. My future entertainment will come from another venue!
I think Dancing with Stars is a rip off for Black Women!!!!
When Ms. Ali and Mel B were in the run off neither one of them won. Now Brandy!! They voted off the Black men this year for stiff leg Bristol. She has improved but she is still STIFF like she is frozen.
I do believe the tea party is behind this mess.
I believe the lines were jammed for the other contestants fore when I called all of their numbers I got a recording but Ms. Stiff Leg when through, but I hung up before it got into the message.
If this mess is not cleared up I PROMISE I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW AGAIN because it is RIGGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brandy KEEP YOUR HEAD UP BECAUSE GOD HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YOU. When you get things that you are not worthy of you do not prosper. In my book Brandy should have won!!!!!!!!!!!
Bristol may have improved, yet in the eyes of the judges she was at the bottom of the leader board HOW MANY TIMES ???? Clearly, she should have been off the floor in round 3. Is it hard to understand that Mom’s cronies are behind the votes ??? How shameful ? And yes, FOREMOST is a dancing competition, personality should only play a small part. Time to do away with public voting, let the judges decide.
Hey!!! Brandy is great. I voted for both Brandy and Bristol throughout. It is NOT the Bristallion’s fault that she was voted into the finals. You could tell she had admiration for Brandy and genuinely liked her. I say, vote, vote, vote. Brandy and Max were not overconfident, fans like myself were. I ASSUMED they would make the finals, so used all my votes on Bristol. Go Bristallion!!! Texas LOVES ya’ll!!!
