How Deep is Your Love? If you’re Steven Spielberg, the Bee Gees fan will pay millions to have the Gibb’s brother life story made into a movie. The classic pop band has sold over 200 million records worldwide and they are music icons in the industry.
The Oscar winning Director, Steven Spielberg, thinks fans will spend loads of cash to learn more about the rags to riches story of Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb. Don’t forget the tragic death of younger brother Andy Gibb as well.
Robin Gibb, 60, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The Bee Gees movie is going to be done by some very important people. It will be our life story. Barry and I will be involved in the technical side.’ One of the biggest challenges that Spielberg will face is finding actors who can replicate the distintive Bee Gees sound. Barry Gibb is hoping they will use the original recordings and have the actors lip snyc to the music.
Barry Gibb born under the astrology sign of Virgo, is a perfectionist and I’m sure will want the Bee Gees movie to be perfect. Robin Gibb said: ‘I’d like our original recordings to be used because it’s very hard to emulate them.’ The movie will focus on the brothers rise from child stars, to super stardom with hits like Stayin Alive and Jive Talkin. In 2009, The Sunday Times estimated that Gibb and his brother Robin’s combined net worth at $180 million.
Astrochicks predicts the movie will be a huge success. It will be interesting to see how Steven Spielberg portrays the Bee Gees in the bio-pic. Stay tuned.
