In the first season of the Bachelor Pad it’s all about sex, lies and cocktails. ABC’s lusty version of Big Brother, hit the airwaves tonight. On hosting duty, was Chris Harrison and Melissa Rycroft riding shotgun for casual commentary, Astrochicks is hooked.
In a new interview with Melissa Rycroft, she dishes on the backstabbing and drama in the house. She says, “I didn’t think you could get more drama from a show than you already get from The Bachelor and Bachelorette and in watching this whole progression that is Bachelor Pad, the drama is unreal. From romances and breakups and hookups and alliances being made and broken, and competition and eliminating each other off, emotions are just running crazy. I totally understand it — you’re trying to decide who’s playing the game and whose here for love and it’s greatness.”
One hook up on the Bachelor Pad that seems a bit stalkerish is between Jesse K. and Elizabeth. Jesse K. wants to dial down the relationship, whereas Elizabeth wants to light a romantic match and burn the house down. In one showmance moment, Jesse tells Elizabeth that the two of them should put their passion on the back burner for the sake of the game. Yeah right Jesse K., you just want to make out with other girls. Elizabeth is heartbroken, who crys, “But I’m in love with you!” Afterward, crazy Elizabeth emotionally blackmails boyfriend Jesse K. telling him if he breaks up with her, she’ll convince her supportive girlfriends in the Bachelor Pad house to axe him. She is even more forceful about this during their next chat, pronouncing that it’s in his “best interest” to play the supportive boyfriend card. Jesse K. gives into her demands but I have a feeling this one is going to end badly for Elizabeth. You can’t force a guy to love you, not even for a TV show Elizabeth. CRAZY!
The show looks like a lot of fun. It’s safe to say people aren’t there for love but definitely for money and fame. Spoiler alert: Rumor is Tenley and Kiptyn make it to the final four, Elizabeth and Jesse do not. SURPRISE!
