Ruben Van Ashout, a young Dutch boy, is the lone survivor of a plane crash that killed over 100 people. Returning from a family trip in Johannesburg, rescuers found the miracle boy amongst the wreckage suffering from several fractured bones but very much alive. Amazing!
Little is known about the dark-haired boy, who underwent surgery in a Tripoli hospital for multiple fractures. Investigators are searching for family members in the Netherlands to take guardianship of the boy.
Sixty-one Dutch citizens, two Germans as well as passengers from Britain, France, Finland, the Philippines, South Africa and Zimbabwe were killed in the Afriqiyah Airways crash.
Police are still uncertain what caused the accident. They have ruled out terrorism and believe the tragic plane crash was due to pilot error or mechanical reasons.
Thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends who lost loved ones. Special prayer for the young boy, wishing him a speedy recovery so he can go home and be with family.
