Country music star, Julie Roberts and her family had to be rescued from a dangerous flood in Nashville this week. The singer, her mom, sister and four little dogs were retrieved from the second floor of their home. Roberts said, “It was crazy and horrifying. The city of Nashville needs your prayers. It looks pretty disastrous for myself, my neighbors, and everyone in that area of Nashville.”
Roberts who first shot to fame with her single, “Break Down Here.” At Roberts’ recent annual fan club party in Nashville, she announced that she will be shooting a film based on her life story. A soundtrack will be produced for the new movie and it’s expected to be released in 2011.
Nashville continues to brace for more flooding as the river swells. The weekend storm has already claimed the lives of 28 people. Even Country music’s landmark, the Grand Ole Opry House, was flooded with several feet of water. City officials estimate it will take weeks to cleanup the damage.
