GOVERNOR JAN BREWER, Arizona New Hate Capital, Outrageous Immigration Law Passed!!!

Has Arizona become the new hate capital of the United States of America?  Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, has waged war on illegal immigrants and on Friday passed a new law that could change the history of our country. It is the most outrageous anti-migrant law in the country and has declared open season on undocumented workers who live in that state.

President Obama bashed the bill as irresponsible in an address from the Rose Garden even before Brewer had signed it, saying it would “threaten basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans,” and called for federal action.

The new law makes it a crime for U.S. citizens to live with, drive, or otherwise “harbor” people they know to be “illegal aliens” (like their parents or siblings), requires local cops to enforce immigration laws, and permits Arizonans to sue public officials who aren’t rounding up “illegals” to their satisfaction. What is this the wild wild west?

I hope this new crazy law will push Obama to pass immigration reform. We do need to have stronger laws in place but there are millions of undocumented workers here. Many who hard working and contribute to making our country better place on a daily basis. Arizona didn’t become a 48th state until 1912 and before that it was part of Mexico.  Although it targets “all undocumented workers,” we all know the laser focus is on 450,000 Mexicans who are considered illegal. There’s a HUGE population of Latinos living legally in Arizona, are the cops going to harass  them on a daily basis? Do the police even have time to focus on this issue?

In Phoenix,  they are your nannies, construction workers, plumbers, restaurant cooks, and hard laborers. They do deserve consideration and the possibility to stay in our country. They are not criminals, just human beings looking to give a better life to their family.

Jan Brewer should pack her bags. Hopefully, she will be voted out of office in October in a landslide victory. We don’t need another hate mongering politician in office. I DEFINITELY won’t be going on vacation to Arizona anytime soon.

  1. Felony invasion is a Felony! From we have the definition: “A felony is a serious crime in the common law countries, and the United States retains this law”.

Please note this has nothing to do with race, ethnic origin or discrimination. Nor does it take to task migrating legally from another country to this one providing the legal process is followed while doing so.

And aiding and abetting a felon is also a felony. Aiding and abetting generally means to somehow assist in the commission of a crime, or to be an accomplice.

As a citizen of my country the United States of America I stand solidly behind Governor Brewers new law addressing felony invasion of her state. Enough is enough.

And I look in dismay at the current Administration and members of our judicial system. Why on earth are they aiding and abetting those that would fly in the face of the rule of law?

If you really want to be citizens in our country we need you to be law abiding. As we do not relish or cherish the idea of modeling the lawless societies found in South America or anywhere else.

  2. No one said it wasn’t a territory. It doesn’t change Arizona’s history of suppression. What I stated in the article was true.

Every immigrant will go out of your redneck state & lets see if you can handle without us.”

Sounds like a plan!! Now get the fuck out of here!!
We sure as hell don’t need you!

  4. Yea Jan Brewer! Go to her website and tell her what a fabulous job she’s doing. Have you seen what a mess these Mexicans are leaving? $hit everywhere!, literally dirty diapers and mounds of human feces, along with thousands of pounds of clothes, plastic bags, bottles, etc…are lying around in areas where they cross. This is disgusting, but par for criminals who have no respect for our country.

  5. The Arizona Gov is doing what the government won’t. Its time we stopped illegal immigration. I hope other states follow their lead. Arizona does not belong to Mexico

Every immigrant will go out of your redneck state & lets see if you can handle without us.

  7. Illegal Immigration is Ruining Cleveland,Tennessee

Are immigrants stealing jobs or filling needs?

In the above article a typical scenario occurs where a company won’t offer a living wage to an American Citizen with mortgages, student loans, and car loans to pay, is trying to live in an American economy. Paying the American rate for everything he gets. So the American leaves in search of means to pay his bills, corporate America moves illegals in to take their place where they work for spit and that goes on everywhere in the USA. While US citizens foot the bill to fight crime. Feed obese Hispanic kids at title 1 schools that toss meals they get into the garbage.

It is about time taxpaying American citizens take a stand!

  8. Billy Bob is on the wrong side of history and demographics. And the GOP are doing a fantastic job in alienating any and all minorities in the country with their hatred and xenophobia. The law is reminiscent of the power that the Gestapo had to questions people and ask them for their papers to make sure they are not Jewish…XXI century America (the cradle of slavery, and “separate but equal”). Racist much? Oh, since it is no longer ok to hate on black people, how about we hate on immigrants this time around. No human being is illegal and a comprehensive immigration reform is a matter of when, not if!!!

  9. I applaud the Governor for such welcomed beneficial laws.
Illegals have stolen enough jobs and siphon the tax payers money with their overpopulated extended families. It’s funny they say “Illegals do jobs American won’t do”, the reality is if they paid Americans a fair wage to do the jobs an American will do it.

The 3 reasons why America is bankrupt and will never have economic prosperity:

    1. Free Trade, Globalization, We don’t make anything (Made in China)
    2. Illegal immigration (stealing jobs)
    3. Illegal immigration (Government welfare- free schooling, food stamps. free healthcare)

    Jan Brewer for president 2012!!!

  10. Lets go back to history class. Europeans migrated to where to get a better life? The U.S. Arizona use to be what before 1912? Part of Mexico! Why did the U.S. buy AZ? Because there was too many ILLEGAL Americans living and trying to make their business there. Who shot Reagan? A white guy! I thought all “illegals” did the crimes here? Come on now quit being racists!

  11. This law should be the norm across ALL of the United Satates. I agree with this law wholehearedly!

Oregon needs a law like this!

  12. You guys act like only “illegals” do crimes. It’s not just Mexicans in every jail in the world or the U.S. Crimes are crimes and they are going to happen no matter what Caucasian, black, Mexican, Chinese. Mostly every one that comes here illegally comes here for a better life not to come do crimes here and make it as bad as in their home country. This country was made on immigrants, in that case lets all go back to our home countries and leave the Native Americans here. If you a criminal you do crimes no matter what the color of your skin is.I don not know why everyone tries to blame crimes on immigrants acting like just immigrants do crimes come on now there is not one race that does not have someone in them that has criminal thoughts. And about the drug trafficking who keeps buying them? People in the streets of America right? You guys are just looking for someone to blame your problems and and you guys found them, Latinos. That’s just unconstitutional and violates human rights. How is one of the biggest countries that support human rights going to do this? Every single crime is not done by “illegals,” there are all kinds of races in our jails and prisons today. “Illegals” that are working in the U.S. are actually paying taxes what about all you lazy hunkies waiting on the unemployment line just to get money ha! It is not the “illegals'” fault you red necks are too lazy to do hands-on jobs!! They have to do the dirty work now they are playing the cost come on now!

  13. Jan Brewer you rock Governor,
I just checked a county jail to see if our laws say they are here illegally and what else they might be doing. I was right they are here illegally go figure check with your local jail. As for the rest of us being here illegally before Europeans settled in North America the continent was pretty much uncivilized. Law changed that creating the civilization we have today. I don’t know about you but I prefer living in a civilized community. And I was born into that society making me just as legal as a Rio grand baby.

And I also believe in free choice if you don’t like the well thought out laws of America I hear Mexico has a few vacancies.

We have immigration laws for a reason if they need review and change then review and change them. Don’t go break the law embrace it.

  14. Nearly 19,000 people have been killed since President Felipe Calderon came to power in Mexico in late 2006 and launched a military assault on the country’s powerful drug cartels, sparking a surge in violence that has alarmed Washington, foreign investors and tourists.

    YESSSSS bring it to America!!!!

  15. Would you consider the illegals honest? They enter illegally into the country. They don’t care about being a lawabing citizen.
    Or do they?
WKMG television in Florida reported on their website that fourteen “field laborers broke into an 18-year-old woman’s home, dragged her across the street and then took turns raping her.”

This rampaging gang of “field laborers” consisted of men ranging in age from 18 to 56. The victim reported they choked her until she passed out. When she awoke, they were pouring alcohol in her mouth. She was then raped by each and every one of them.

When these animals finished they pushed her out the front door like a piece of used meat. Somehow this girl managed to get to a phone where she called the police. Deputies arrested the 14 men who were still at the house where the rape occurred. They will be charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and sexual battery by multiple perpetrators. They face life in prison if convicted.

Not until we get to the end of the WKMG website story is the fact that the rapists aren’t just “farm laborers.” Indeed, they are all illegal aliens. Only at the end of their story do we learn: “Twelve of the men are from Guatemala, one from Puerto Rico and the other from Mexico.”
unfortunately this is why everyone is upset. Mexico is so dangeroua. In 2008, 1,607 people – men, women and children – were murdered in Ciudad Juarez, across the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas. The next year, the total rose to 2,660. This year, the total may be higher. Many of the victims are raped and murdered women. Torture is commonplace.

  16. Since all of the Mexicans love America so much and the majority live here and the drug lords control Mexico making it unsafe for the Mexicans, America should just make Mexico another state within her union. We need to own Mexico! Rebuild Mexico by adding toilets and running water in their dirt floor shack homes. Tax the Mexicans to rebuild Mexico because God only knows they can’t do it for themselves. Even though America gave the Mexicans; free education, free medical, free dental, free food, free shelter, they still can’t go back home and advance their country. It’s so sad. Looks like America needs to do it for them.

  17. I was beginning to think we were a nation of spineless cowards, it took a woman with balls to fire the first shot! I support Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona, all 50 states need to adopt this law, now!

  18. Screw jan brewer and anybody else who supports her fucked up law. If it wasn’t for LATINOS all you other people would be slaving to bring up highways schools hospitals and even your own homes. Without LATINOS this country would go to shit!!! So once again FUCK YOU JAN BREWER AND YOUR FUCKED UP LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. The US Constitution and Bill of Rights were not written with citizens or legal residents in mind; rather it was written with everyone in mind. Regardless of their immigration status; the Bill of Rights must apply or it means nothing. As for Governor Brewer, well she obviously looks very WASPY, and has probably never faced racial prejudice. She should be facing federal hate crimes criminal prosecution as well as any legislator who voted for this vile, unconstitutional ‘law.’ This is almost identicaly to the ‘laws’ passed by Adolph Hitler. If you are accusing me of comparing Jan Brewer to a fascist nazi; well you would be right. I suggest, that those who realize the evil and the danger this bogus ‘law’ poses to all of us; should organize a boycott of Arizona, especially its tourist industry and name this law and Jan Brewer as the reason for the boycott. I could be mistaken for Hispanic , even though I am a Jew and a third generation American citizen. I take great offense at Jan Brewer’s overt racism and frankly, hell will freeze over first before I EVER spend any of my hard earned dollars in Arizona. I view Gov. Brewer as a racist and someone who couldn’t care less. I look forward to her political demise and her criminal prosecution for hate crimes. Those of you who attribute drug crimes, etc. to ‘illegals’ should know that statistically, the US military deals more drugs than any illegal.

  20. LisaSS you almost make it sound like America has no responsibility for all of this “drugs, violence, costs”!!! Holy cow!!!! You figured it all out!!! In the middle of all of your mindless babble you figured out the problem! Over $22.9 BILLION of our tax payed dollars in 2009 for the war on illegal drugs from mexico. Make drugs legal and if you infringe (like the big words now stupid?) upon the rights of another citizen (just like virtually every other law on record) then you would pay in fines, jail time, community service, etc (just like the outcome for every other law broken). Now that I already saved over 22.9 BILLION tax dollars we can continue with the $6.2 BILLION tax dollars to incarcerate all the non-violent drug offenders. SO LETS TOTAL IT ALL UP!!!! OVER $29.1 BILLION TAX DOLLARS SAVED SCRAPING THE WAR ON DRUGS + DRUG OFFENDERS FINES – THE LARGE AMOUNTS OF PROFITS CARTELS MAKE – NO NEED FOR CARTEL VIOLENCE SINCE THERE IS A SUBSTANTIALLY LESS AMOUNT OF MONEY INVOLVED = NO SCARY ILLEGALS. I JUST LOVE MATH!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! 🙂

  21. You know what….. After living in Tucson, AZ for my whole life. I always had a feeling, that the sweet little old lady that cooks homemade tortillas on the corner of 6th and Irvington in TUCSON, AZ was a cold hearted blood thirsty Cartel Hitman. It’s gotta be the perfect cover. Or maybe my good neighbor Pedro that always brings me my own little plate of delicious home made food atleast onece or twice a week, he seems just TO FREAKIN NICE! Oh!!! How could I forget about the other HALF A MILLION PLUS repectfull illegals that live here and bring thier families to America for a better life. I have to say… What would YOU be willing to do to provide for your family? These people work. They dont feed off of Arizona’s “saftey net” like the other MILLIONS of LEGAL residents that fill up our DES lines and havnt worked for YEARS!!!! We need to register the working “Illegals” and deport OUR “LEGAL TRASH” to Mexico!!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!! Like a permanent foreign exchange program 🙂

  22. To Rick…my suggestions are based on other countries that have implemented immigration policies that actually work.

I have lived in the UK and Sweden on official work visas. Although I was there for work, I met people from all over the world who were allowed to live and work there based on the following.

    1. Married or living with someone who is a legal resident – Whether you were married, living together, or a gay couple you were allowed to legally stay.

    2. Family members – A family member could “sponsor” you and basically say they are financially responsible for you.

    3. Parents – If your child was born in that country, you are automatically allowed to stay.

    4. Seasonal work visa – Issued to individuals working in the hospitality industry. Restaurants, hotels, childcare, etc.

    5. Political reasons – If you are likely to be persecuted in your home country, you would be allowed to stay.

    6. Student visa – You are studying abroad.

Most important, if you did not fall under any of these categories you are not treated as a criminal. You are asked to leave the country but you’re not thrown in jail, etc.

I think there is a happy medium. I don’t think Arizona’s new law is the answer.

  23. Hate? Oh, my, you people who don’t know big words and who like to polarize ‘thinking’ people are sad. Is putting someone in jail for murder, hate? Is putting someone in handcuffs who tries to steal, hate? America has put up long enough with people who come here illegally. How dare you call people names! Who do you think you are? If you break the law, you have to be accountable for that. If you want to marry someone from a foreign country, and they are not here legally, I guess that’s a problem you need to solve or move. I married a LEGAL immigrant from South America. He came here, learned English, worked hard and now has a great job, makes decent money and assimilated as an American. He is proud of his natural heritage, of course, and still roots for his sports teams and speaks the language, but he is also proud to be an AMERICAN, imagine that? He realizes that assimilating has helped him succeed. Some Latinos are very hard working – no one is saying otherwise, Wisen up. It’s about legality, cost, crime. Mexico is the largest perpetrator of this – but other illegals are just as guilty. Get the proper documents, get in line and come here legally. Period. Now, was that so hard?

  24. English please. Oye, oye. You must try to speak english. Usa is not cento, south or cuba. If I was in any European country I would have to speak their language. That shows that other nations do not put up with so much crap as this country does. Two thumbs up for Jan Brewer. You are one who we stand by to see what was once the true USA.

  25. RICK!!!!! I just love your sense of cluelessness, I find it amazing!!! Hypothetical situations? Legal processes? Slaughtered Americans? Read my abosilutely NON HYPOTHERTICAL situation I have, that I posted earlier. Legal process pfffff!!! Years to become a citizen even after marrige. I live less than 100 miles away from the border. If that ONE rancher story is your grounds to start an UN-CONSTITUTIONAL movement, then in the great words of Jon Stewart Go —- urself!!!! Bone head!!

  26. Illegal is the key word here. They want a better life, they are doing jobs Americans don’t want….all of that is bullshit. They are here illegally pack them up and ship them back. I pray all states follow suite.

  27. Luisa, unfortunately after a while you cannot keep having people coming here without applying for citizenship. All countries with borders have similar laws, for instance if I tried to move to Mexico without informing the Government and applying for a visa I would be jailed and quite possibly shot. In addition, Mexicans are breaking their own laws by not applying to leave the country.

This just didn’t start happening; its been going on and the amnesty in 1986 was supposed to fix the problem.

I don’t know how old you are but it appears from your post you are what 19 or 20?

In 1882 the US Congress passed the first Federal Immigration laws. Prior to that it was up the states. The law was passed as a result of too many immigrants flooding the country. That was in response to President Arthur. Calling people lazy without proof is, pretty idiotic.

To claim that all Latinos are hardworking is untrue. To claim that all the people here want to do is live off the government is also untrue. Personally, I think until they bring back the manufaturing jobs they need to stop all immigration. The same problem exist today that existed when President Arthur asked Congress to pass legislation, criminals are crossing the border and it is out of control. Now they demand rights and benefits and claim we are racist. Hmmm tell that to my half Mexican son or my nearly full blooded grandsons or my two sisters who are half Guamanian or my 4 nephews who are half black or my several Mexican Aunts.

You sound like the talking heads on TV using their talking points; one is Latinos do the jobs Americans won’t do! How in the hell do they know that? Babysitting for the rich? Try this; those employers and corporations want to pay as little as possible and what better people to hire, people here illegally who cannot complain. Well some of those jobs aren’t really jobs at all they are created cause people with money are too lazy to take care of their own children. Yardwork, paper routes, working at McDonalds, etc… used to be done by highschool students.

Here is what you may not understand, the economy is bad and it is by design as the elites are using immigrants to drive down wages and turn this country into…well Northern Mexico.

So if anything, why don’t Mexicans stay in their country and fix what is wrong such as the corrupt leaders who steal the wealth of the people. When the going get tough the tough get going, such as back in 1775 the colonials could have sat back and allowed King George to take their weapons and impose taxes or they could have run, but they fought and won.

Allowing this to continue will be suicide and will cause racial problem far worse than you have now. Believe it or not you are in a minority because about 70 percent of Mexican-American citizens are against illegal immigration and amnesty because it is affecting their ability to obtain employment.

Many Illegals come here and the first thing they do is apply for benefits which takes money from my pocket and it doesn’t matter what country they come from I do not approve of it.

Last but not least, the Government is using race to divide us. Giving Illegals amnesty would be an insult to every immigrant who has taken the legal path towards citizenship. Unfortunately we can’t take on the entire worlds poor or people who want to move here.

  28. Answer to Rick’s question…My solution, maybe allow Americans employing undocumented workers sponsor them. They have to be responsible for these individuals.

Q1. If we allow the hiring of illegals under any set of circuimstances aren’t we encouraging more illegal entry? If not, how so?..

Q2. What happens to the jobs American citizens would be willing work? How did America survive the hiring of these so called “jobs Americans don’t want” before the explosion of the illegal population?

Allow illegal residents with American born children to stay. Children need their parents.

    A. Again are we not rewarding bad behavior and encouraging all remaining illegals to have children for fear of being deported? I can symapthize to a degree but what is the differnce between a father or mother in the U.S that breaks a law and is thrown in jail and can no longer be a true parent to their child? This was their decision not ours.

    Q. What about all the people waiting in line legally to enter the U.S. is that fair to them?

If you have committed a felony crime, you automatically have to leave. I think there is a middle ground. Many undocumented workers bring value to our country.

    A. this should be enforced now without question.

    A. I think most people in America believe that if someone wants to work here and provide a better quality of life for themselves and their family that they should get in line with all immigrants and follow the fair and due process.

    A. Again it comes down to our inability to enforce the current law.

I think compassion and tolerance is important.

    A. I am not sure how you apply tollerance to the laws that govern us. Justice is supposed to be blind with no gray area. We can’t treat the symptoms in this mess without treating the problem. The problem is that people willfully choose to ignore our laws and sovereignty to better there situation. Although I can not argue their motives that fact remains they must do it legally if they are seeking compassion. You don’t break a law and expect or look for compassion or mercy in the enforcing of law. I certainly do not agree that it should be at the cost of American lives which what we now have in this country. No one should have to wait until a crime has been commited directly on them before receiving fair protection under the law.

This will be my last post on the issue but there is no easy solution that does not begin with the protection of our borders and the enforcing of laws. The honor system is what we have now and it is clearly not working. I am all for law abiding immigrants of all races that come here and utilize their tallents to greater improve America. I will read your final post..

  29. Jan Brewer
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Janice Kay “Jan” Brewer (born September 26, 1944 as Janice Drinkwein) is the 22nd and current Governor of the U.S. state of Arizona and is a Neo-Conservative Republican in the tradition of Leo Strauss, William Kristol, Norman Podhoretz, and Irving Kristol. Janice Drinkwein Brewer automatically became governor of Arizona as part of the line of succession as determined by the Arizona constitution, thus not being elected by the people of Arizona, replacing duly elected former governor Janet Napolitano. Jan Brewer became governor at a time of extreme economic upheaval for the state, and issues such as a dwindling tax base, record foreclosures, public education funding, immigration reform and healthcare have all been key issues during her time in office.

She is also noted for her feud against actor/singer Ricky Dôminguez regarding illegal immigration laws.

Brewer was born in Hollywood, California to Perry and Edna Drinkwine, and raised in a conservative Jewish Ashkenazi home (surname originally Dernkwein). Her father died of lung disease when she was eleven years old. She married John Brewer and worked in Glendale, California before moving to his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona in 1970. They later moved to Glendale, Arizona where he became a successful chiropractor and found success in real estate as well. She gave birth to three sons, one of whom died from cancer in 2007.[2]

Brewer attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona.[3]

  30. Answer to Rick’s question…My solution, maybe allow Americans employing undocumented workers sponsor them. They have to be responsible for these individuals.

Allow illegal residents with American born children to stay. Children need their parents.

If you have committed a felony crime, you automatically have to leave. I think there is a middle ground. Many undocumented workers bring value to our country.

I think compassion and tolerance is important.

  31. okay anyone who supports this bill who is not a native american I want you to go back to the european country that your illegal great grandparents came from. attention all white people who are afraid of brown people .YOU ARE IMMIGRANTS

  32. Your confusing the relationship between illegal aliens and the laws meant to protect American citizens. A good question for you would be what it the solution to the problem?

  33. Rick are undocumented workers REALLY stopping you from pursuing life, liberty and happiness? Seriously. They are doing jobs that others don’t want.

I think people fail to realize how much value they do bring. Are you going to want to mow someones lawn, take care of their kids, and paint their house for them. All for $8 bucks an hour. I seriously doubt it.

A cross between amnesty and immigration reform might seem more reasonable. Yes, some illegals should not be here if they are committing crimes. If they are not, they will pay taxes like all the rest of us.

    Hate is not the answer.

  34. Another point..With the open corruption and out of control drug cartels in Mexico (fact) you can’t open the borders and allow American citizens to be slaughtered. Which is the same reason you can’t allow illegals to disregard our laws. We respect Mexico’s soveriegnty and did not create their grim situation and they should respect ours. Don’t ask the U.S. to ignore the problem. How many Americans will have to give up their lives before we get a lid on this mess?

  35. It comes down to this one point. We are either a nation of law or were not. I can understand Obama’s comments saying this is “misguided” legislation I would expect nothing less from a community activist(fact). If he wasn’t in the White House he would probably be in AZ right now leading the charge. There is only one doccument that needs to be read and clearly understood and it is called the CONSTITUTION. If you understand this doccument and our elected officials actually defended and protected it, we wouldn’t be here today. The Fed is responsible for protecting it’s citizens so that it’s CITIZENS may freely pursue life, liberty and happiness. Gov’t is not doing it’s job in light of the overwhelming evidence of violence spillng over the border. Both democrats and republicans have failed to live up to their oaths. Under constitutional law states remain soveriegn in the enforcing and creating of their own laws according to the best interests of each state. We are not a socialist country yet with a totalatarian gov’t imposing it’s will. I think a lot of people are confused about the issues and how to solve it. Amnesty clearly is not the answer, ignoring it is clearly not. America allows more legal immigration through it’s gates than any other country in the world. The issue is not immigration or a hispanic thing it is simply the nescesity of a border state to protect it’s citizens from unlawful entry on it’s borders where the gov’t has failed. These individuals make a decision to illegally cross our borders in some cases with mallicious intent(fact) The sob stories really have no place in the discussion because most are hypothetical arguments not founded on relevant facts. This problem has been ignored for too long and if you want to write someone, write your elected officials and ask them why they have failed ALL Americans on this issue.

  36. I am Mexican-American, and i think that all of this that is going on is rediculous! I dont get why all of a sudden its illegal for people to come into the U.S., americans to start off with migrated here to the United States or was it just me that still remembers that from U.S. History class??? Another reason why that law is stupid is because its true, there are so many people that are not willing to do the hardworking jobs that us LATINOS do,those are the people that are just lazy and want to depend on the government on giving them money to live off of…Just imagine that! the U.S. without latino workers….theres not much more to say about that.

  37. California, Arizona, New Mexico,Texas were parts of mexico parts of Utah, Nevada and colorado were also parts of mexico…do you know how and why the states bought those parts from mexico for about 150 years ago CA,AZ,NM,and TX were filled with illegal americans, illegal US citizens and they though because they were more they should rule the land and it stared the Mexico-US war were the rednecks took our president and made him sign the treaty of guadalupe hidalgo please do not speak of something that you do not know read this and look how the Americans with good moral values that you people that think that, that law it’s ok please read this and became clever

  38. I have lived in Tucson, AZ for my entire life (26 yrs). I have grown up around our 500,000+ illegals here in AZ and even have a beautiful 1yr old baby girl with an illegal immigrant but my baby has dual citizenship. Thanks to this new STATE law, our family could be torn apart in an instant. We now live in total fear and lastnight I had to go for an hour long walk by myself so my family would not see me cry. I am terrified of what might happen to our family. Thanks to the grueling FEDERAL process my baby’s mom will probably not be a Permanent Resident for atleast another estimated 5-10 years even after we get married. (I’ve been trying to get a license for that for almost 2 years now, I’ve spent over $15,000 in b.s. paperwork, with aprox 0% success and road block after road block) I would like to thank everybody nationwide who supports the destruction of families and communities. About .05% of illegal immigrants are criminal offenders. This law will only create and excess of violent criminals.

P.S. They are about to pass our concealed weapons law. God help the family of the fallen officers that attempt to break up the wrong family.

  39. This country failed Robert Krentz, his family and all who work for him. As they have failed countless families all across this country. The number of deaths is estimated to be from 15-25 deaths caused by illegal aliens each day in this country.
Robert Krentz was gunned down on his own property by an illegal alien.

It is not known yet whether Krentz was specifically targeted or whether it was just one of the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who come across our border every year who have actual criminal records, but in the end does it matter? A hard working man was killed on his own land. And all for just trying to help out someone in need.

  40. Nope, not a hate capital just a state that is fed up with the Fed not stopping the flood of illegal aliens crossing the border. The Federal government in cahoots with Corporate America to drive down wages and make us a third world country. And the many good people from Mexico and other nations who come here illegally are being used to accomplish this.

  41. I applaud Gov. Brewer for signing this bill.
For those of you who are convinced the illegals are doing the jobs Americans won’t do..that is total rubbish.
There are MILLIONS of Americans who would gladly work ANY job to feed their family.
This country is broke!!! go home,. rebuild your own country!
I don’t have the extra $330.00 it costs EVERY American citizen to fund the services we are giving away to people who have no right to be here.

  42. This legislation will backfire in a harsh economic way for the state of Arizona.
Learn from Prince William Co., Va. See “9500 Liberty.”
I am boycotting Arizona until this racial profiling legislation is repealed.
The Grand Canyon will be there for a long time, waiting for me, as it always has.

  43. Just because Arizona happens to be the main gate for illegal crossings into the Untied States does not make it’s laws against such behavior hate.

Hanya karena Arizona terjadi menjadi gerbang utama untuk penyeberangan ilegal ke Amerika melepaskan ikatan tidak membuat hukum itu benci terhadap perilaku tersebut.

  44. Author: Jackie Smith
Remember everyone of us who is here has immigrated from some other place. To uphold the dream of being an American, we must support and cherish the dream of citizenship and not take it away from others. It is totally inhuman what the governor has done. Such actions only demonstrate hostility towards others and creates more problems for our country.
But Jackie we immigrated using a legal process for the purpose of legal immigration. Breaking laws isn’t the way to go. Just because stop sign running is rampant doesn’t give border running a free pass! No way Jose’

  45. Remember everyone of us who is here has immigrated from some other place. To uphold the dream of being an American, we must support and cherish the dream of citizenship and not take it away from others. It is totally inhuman what the governor has done. Such actions only demonstrate hostility towards others and creates more problems for our country.

  46. The Murder of a rancher is what spurred the new law. Not a hatred.
A Arizonia rancher(on the border of Mexico) had found a truck full of drugs on his property. He called the sheriff. The illegal alien was on the ranchers property pretending to be sick. The rancher was trying to help the man
when the illegal alien shot the rancher and fled back into Mexico. It is believed it was an act of revenge by the Mexican Cartel because the rancher turned in the truck full of drugs.

Now this is not a hate crime to protect Americans. A neighboring rancher was beaten by illegals because of a similar “drug find” was turned into authorities.

I am sure Obama will open the borders. He will.

  47. Remember the song by PUBLIC ENEMY 1991 song called “BY THE TIME I GET TO ARIZONA” ? when the racist lawmakers don’t want Martin Luther King Holiday? I hope they make a remix of it and plaster Jan Brewer and Alpaio in the video.

  48. The Governor did the right thing. You alien lovers can just take them into your own homes and YOU take care of them.

  49. American citizens are banned from owning real estate in Mexico. Yet Bank of America gives illegal immigrants mortgages, credit cards and more. I even have to press 1 to speak my own language in my own country. If this is America truly what is up with that? It should be a message like “Stay on the line and the next available agent will be with you shortly. Otherwise press 1 to continue in your language.” It isn’t rocket science to count how many languages people speak. List them alphabetical and assign each its number. If you don’t understand the message press your number. We could add that number to your visa card or you could be the man and learn English like a Real American.

  50. It has nothing to do with Hispanics. And everything to do with people here illegally from any country for any reason.
Foreign exchange students bombing out of academic pursuits and not returning to their home country to name one. I have Hispanic members in my own family here legally.
If a judge convicts someone for a crime that is not hate.
The United States has in place a set of immigration laws operated by our people for our people. It is the rule of law on the subject of immigration of today.

  51. Oh boy, all I hear is how bad Hispanics are…what about you white people you guys are no angels either…! And its absolutely not necessary to call us Hispanics “Parasites”! That is just not right.(referring to a comment that some racist left on here)
I guess the R next to Jan Brewer stands for RACIST and not Republican!!!

  52. Gordy, are you a tea bagger? Obama is an American, just like you. He was born in Hawaii, why do people hang on to that issue? I live in California and our Governor is the terminator. So what/

We do need reform but not this way. It’s only going to promote hate and harassment of law abiding citizens who don’t have blond hair and blue eyes. Politicians who oppose the immigration law are receiving death threats. Seriously?

This going to blow up to a HUGE ISSUE and hopefully it will push Obama to do reform. One that has compassion and patience for others who have been here for years and are not living off the system.

  53. I totally support Governer Brewer’s actions. Its about time Americans took a stand.

As you wrote “In Phoenix, they are your nannies, construction workers, plumbers, restaurant cooks, and hard laborers. They do deserve consideration and the possibility to stay in our country. They are not criminals, just human beings looking to give a better life to their family.”

Your words are bsolutely true. However, the 11 Million ‘Illegals’ in the country CAN and should become citizens and become LEGAL and pay the taxes to support themselves, not leach off the rest of us. Look at the statistics. California is bankrupt and Colorado is not far behind … all due to the ‘Illegals’. Tha vast majority of those on welfare rolls, and criminals in our jails are ‘Illegals’!

Congratulations to Governor Brewer. Though she’s likely started a ‘firestorm’, someone needed to do it! Even our president Obama (who is yet to be disproven an ‘Illegal president’ himself) admitted the US has NOT done its job with the control of illegal Immigrants.

  54. I support Gov Jan Brewer she is doing her job. She is proctecting the citizens of her State. There is nothing illegal about a bill that is designed to obey the law. If criminals are not going to obey the law why should the innocent suffer? What the Federal Govt do? Nothing at all. I live in Texas and in Texas on the border there are innocent citizens, which includes Hispanics that are being killed. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with the Law.

  56. I totally agree with the bill. If I hired a felon to mow my lawn for $2 a day because no one else. Would that be ok? No I would be guilty of aiding, abetting the escape of a fugitive from the law and go to jail. Felony invasion is just that a felony we can’t be graying the line turning backs on select felonies and prosecute others. Nobody is above the law it is about time states stand up and protect American’s and abandon disenfranchisement of Americans looking for work. Illegals raise our crops? Give me a break they are here raising, selling, and distributing Marijuana illegally. Costing taxpayers yet more money to make and keep our country safe.

  57. This is stupid. I’m sure all of you saying that this is a great thing would NOT be happy if you were put in the situation where you are walking in street and a police officer comes up to you and starts harassing you because of their racial profiling. These people aren’t here to harm, they just want a better life.

  58. So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren’t being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today’s American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get
down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed
their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.
My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan . They were defending the United States of America as
    one people.

When we liberated France , no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up
another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I’m sorry, that’s not what being an American is all about.
I believe that the immigrants who landed on
Ellis Island in the early 1900’s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty , it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn’t start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.
I will add if you want to fly a flag from another county on the soil of MY COUNTRY, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, all I can tell you is get the hell out of my county because you do not deserve to be an American.

  59. President Obama said what Jan Brewer did was irresponsible. Actually what is irresponsible is Washington not doing anything about the problem for years. It is the fault of both parties. Obama want amnesty, what the PEOPLE want is our current laws enforced and those not legal sent packng. Billions of dollars are spent on health care, protection of illegals, (YES) protection. Jan Brewer has more BALLS than any man in Washington. I say Bless her heart and more power to her. I hope the rest of the states do the same thing and tell Washington they are tired of a corrupt government. YEA JAN!!!! We should all support this lady!
We should also change the laws that make bayies US citizens when the parent is not a citizen. That would stop anyone who is going to give birth from coming here illegal to have the baby.

  60. Brittanicus, I GUARANTEE you undocumented workers are doing jobs other Americans do not want. Working as a dishwasher, nanny, working in the fields, etc. The majority of illegal workers are on the west coast and in the south.

I do agree they shouldn’t be getting welfare but if they are providing a service and someone is paying them so be it.

I seriously doubt that unemployed bank worker is going to mow my lawn. It’s not going to happen.

We do need reform but they are not our enemy.

  61. We don’t need to be “protected” from illegal immigrants. Many are here because they are filling jobs other Americans won’t do.

I live in a very popular beach town outside of LA and I guarantee you 90% of the nannies, construction workers, and restaurant workers are illegal. They are here because they are inexpensive to hire and they do a great job.

Yes, we do need immigration reform but I think Governor Brewer’s actions are drastic. It will increase hate mongering, targeting individuals who may be here legally, or others that are doing no harm.

I don’t agree with “tea bagger” policies. Our country is a melting pot and all of our families come from different countries. Unless you’re Native American (which I am), I think people need to give more thought in their approach before they target a specific minority to vent their anger on.

Look in the mirror first. I’m SURE Governor Brewer has people within her own circle that have hired illegal immigrants, or continue to. Are we going to throw everyone in jail.

Arizona’s economy is in the toilet and it’s not because of illegal immigrants.

  62. I fully support Governor Brewer and this new law. It’s about time the illegal immigration issue was dealt with. ILLEGAL Immigration…there’s nothing to debate…it’s ILLEGAL.

  63. This bill should be adopted by all other states, and should have been mandated by treasonous Feds 20yrs ago. Governor Brewer, and the Arizona legislature, are American Heros. Your comments in this article are despicable.

  64. If any reader takes the time to explore the explosive government entitlements that flows to illegal immigrants, a prudent person must ask why our taxes are supporting these people. Why when we have millions of citizens and residents especially in today’s economy living on the edge of homelessness? When 15 million Americans either born here or officially legalized, having to compete with an estimated figure of 8.5 million illegal immigrants who have jobs? Try entering Mexico from Guatemala and see how long you last, without being thrown into a filthy jail or deported. Every country has a right to restrain foreign nationals from entering its sovereignty lands, but America has been infested with extremist groups that want to take away–OUR–rights. The prodigious billion dollars figure that the IRS takes from us, in supporting foreign nationals at the federal, county and municipal stage.

THESE FIGURES ARE INTENTIONALLY HIDDEN. But they are available by applying Google and using keywords, such as “Illegal alien entitlements.”

We are also fighting two wars that taxpayers bankroll and could easily be paid, if our government built the original design of the fence. If the feds permanently installed E-verify, as well as the 287 police empowerment right to inquire of a person’s nationality. This is finally happened in Arizona, as the legal residents are sick and tired of subsidizing illegal immigrants. It is incessant battle of law enforcement in principle cities, fighting against the deadly encroachment of drug dealers. The criminal decay is spreading and that is why the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer has been forced by these circumstances to enact police actions.

Phoenix where law abiding citizens are afraid to go out at night, home invasion robberies, multiple kidnapping, murder and sexual and violent assaults on the person. California–the Sanctuary State–for illegal alien’s welfare and protection is not any better. Hit and runs are a constant activity by foreign nation getting intoxicated, leaving a trail of blood across America. Many prosecutors have their hands tied, or hide the truth. This is exemplified in Los Angeles and San Francisco. YEARS OF INDIFFERENT ADMINISTRATIONS ARE ENTIRELY TO BLAME.

In conclusion my readers asked me to repeat this report from this Representative and should be absorbed by everybody, to know some of the costs of the illegal immigrant occupation on our soil.

    Illegal Immigration Tax-Dollar Drain
Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) Lamar Smith is the Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee.

President Obama and Congressional Democrats have been talking about giving amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. Tax Day seems like a good time to examine the impact that such a policy would have on your wallet.

Start with education. Using the average annual American public school elementary and secondary education costs, the Federation for American Immigration Reform has estimated that the total cost of K-12 education for illegal immigrant minors and the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants is $28.6 billion a year.

Then there’s health care. If illegal immigrants are covered in the health care bill (there is not a strong verification mechanism to ensure they won’t get benefits), it would increase the bill’s costs between $10-$30 billion. Of course, it won’t matter if illegal immigrants receive amnesty since the new law requires health care coverage for everyone.

Social Security is another area of great concern. Claims by amnesty advocates that illegal immigration can “save” Social Security are false.

Last year, the Social Security Administration (SSA) ran the numbers at my request. Here’s what they found: For a single 25-year old male with very low earnings, today’s value of his and his employer’s contributions to the Trust Fund will fall $15,596 short of the value of the Social Security retirement benefits he will eventually receive. A single female will receive $20,936 more in benefits than she pays into Social Security. If the immigrant is married but the sole wage-earner, the couple will eventually drain the Trust Fund by $52,460; if the immigrant is married to another very low earner, the drain on the trust fund will be $39,037. The legalization of one million illegal immigrant couples who work for very low wages would be a $101 billion blow to taxpayers. And amnesty for all illegal immigrants would multiply this figure many times!

When it comes to taxes, amnesty supporters like to say that illegal immigrants will pay their “fair share” of taxes after being granted amnesty. This is deceptive.

Low-skilled workers often pay no taxes and receive a check from the Internal Revenue Service in the form of the Earned Income Tax Credit. Putting illegal immigrants on the IRS rolls will actually cost the federal government money.

Since most illegal immigrants have less than a high school education and have well below average incomes, even those illegal immigrants who pay taxes pay far less in taxes than they (and their families) consume in taxpayer-supported benefits. Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation found that the average immigrant household headed by an immigrant without a high school degree receives over $19,000 more in total government benefits each year than it pays in federal, state and local taxes!

But the impact goes far beyond these direct costs.

There are nearly 16 million Americans out of work, and about 8 million jobs are held by illegal immigrants. By simply enforcing immigration laws already on the books, we could create millions of job opportunities for American citizens and legal immigrants who played by the rules and entered the U.S. the right way.

Instead, the Obama administration has all but abandoned worksite enforcement efforts. Administrative arrests are down 87 percent; criminal arrests of employees are down 83 percent; criminal arrests of employers are down 73 percent; the number of criminal indictments is down 86 percent; and the number of criminal convictions is down 83 percent since 2008. This insults unemployed and underemployed American workers who need the jobs held by illegal immigrants.

The hit is on your wallet! Illegal immigrants are a fiscal drain on American taxpayers. And the Obama administration’s policies only make it worse.

  65. I am a resident of NV and support this legislation. I am also a Hispanic American. I do not show loyalty in my home country of Spain for people doing illegal activities, why ought I do it here? My family came here legally and are proud of going through the process honesty and with integrity. My family may be Hispanic, but we do not support lawlessness and those who want to undermine the laws of this land. Stopping illegal activity is not hate. Do you believe we are hating on bank robbers and murderers? We also see that as illegal activity which we punish. It is time we all wake up to the fact that all those who support illegal immigration are supporting illegal activities.

  66. I strongly support this “common sense” law. What’s unfortunate is that it had to be passed in the first place because Arizona law ernforcement officials have had their hands tied for so long.

  67. Good for AZ for putting the protection of their citizens first. If the Federal Gov’t was doing their job in the first place we wouldn’t have this problem of rape, kidnapping, killing, theft and drag on state economy. This is not racism but the rule of law like it or not. I hope other states wake up and follow AZ’s lead.

  68. Are you naive, or agree with lawlessness, or just plain stupid? No one hates Mexicans, but we “hate” illegal immigration running rampant all across the country, or have you noticed? You mentioned “undocumented,” and belonging to Mexico, which reveals who you are. They are your people, which makes it okay. That is racist.
Every 4 month, a population the size of Tallahassee, FL pours across our southern border. They are not undocumented. They are illegal aliens. Period. Americans have been conned to accept this infestation as normal. To dissent is considered racist, xenophobic, or nativist.

In 1997, pres Zedillio proclaimed “I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by it’s borders.” MALDEF founder Mario Obledo stated, “California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave. Every constitutional office in California is going to be held by Hispanics in the next 20 years.” People who don’t like such demographic changes “should go back to Europe.” Mexico’s president Fox was unrelenting in his brazen demands on the US, starting with open borders even before he was elected. He called for the border to be a “joining line.” His visits to the US was filled with endless requirements for Mexican citizens illegally in this country – free healthcare, taxpayer subsidized in-state tuition for illegal’s at state colleges and universities, guest worker programs, and amnesty for all. It hasn’t stopped.
Encouraged by their leaders in both countries, the 30 to 40 million Mexicans illegal aliens in America are emboldened to insist that the US surrender to their demands, particularly amnesty, which will speed the acquisition of political power. And when California becomes majority Mexican (if uncontested) around 2028, these people call for political unification with their cultural homeland. Their leaders are planning for such a scenario. It’s hard to fathom how America’s elected Congressional leaders, those who swore to uphold the Constitution and to protect the nation, are prepared to give it away for some perceived short-term political gain, if that.
The front men for globalist corporations, and world government who occupy the White House allows Mexico to dictate America’s immigration policy, while few in the Democrat party object. Does anyone think Mexico cares about what happens to America? All one has to do is look back to Sept 11, 2001, when Mexico was the only country who did not offer condolences. They see the US as a dumping ground, and lands that they claim is theirs. Why do American public officials value so little what thousands have fought and died to protect? A foreign power has stated its plans to conquer this nation by demographic warfare, but in Washington, apparently no one cares.
How did these people get so deeply rooted in our politics? Why does the most powerful nation in the world’s leaders cower before the third world country to the south? They’ve infiltrated our political machine, flooded our cities, and will endlessly remain loyal to Mexico.

It’s time to get rid of the meddlers from Mexico, and their parasitic culture. We must stop the bleeding. All illegal aliens should be deported despite how your feelings my hurt.
Perhaps, you should plan to go back with them.

They don’t contribute anything to this country. They are a liability. Parasites. Enough is enough.
