A new web site, Phoebe’s Law, has been created in the young teens honor to push for the adoption of of strong anti-bulling legislation in schools. The initiative led by Daniel Cole, will provide protection for millions of children who are bullied each year. Instead of schools ignoring their desperate pleas for help, like Phoebe’s was, it will force schools and parents to be responsible and take action against bullies.
Phoebe Prince, a beautiful 15 year old Irish immigrant, did not have to die this way. By contacting your State Legislators via email, it’s the fastest and easiest way to strongly voice your concerns about the bullying epidemic in this country. Ask your representatives, to immediately initiate laws in your state, making it a crime for students to bully or harass other students. Whether it be physical, verbal or via cyber linked social sites.
What happened to Phoebe should never happen to any other child again. Let your state representatives know your position-that you are in strong support of anti-bullying and harassment legislation and ask them to consider naming their bill ‘Phoebe’s Law’ in her memory.
Here is a collection of Phoebe Prince photos in happier days. Please encourage others to follow the initiative via Twitter. Everyone can make a difference.
