ABC, will unleash the floodgates of love during March Madness. First stop, March 1st, the Bachelor finale is a 3 hour event. Really? We get to see Jake agonize over choosing between Vienna and Tenley. In the worst kept secret in Bachelor history, Jake will choose Vienna to be his bride.
On March 8th, we get to see Jason and Molly waltz down the aisle. That’s one marriage I thought would never happen. But I’m happy for them and God knows Molly gave up alot for her man. It has to be love, plus that cool $500k I’m sure helped.
And finally, ABC will bridge the gap between “The Bachelor” and “Dancing With the Stars” cycles with even more of the former series. “Inside The Bachelor: The Stories Behind the Rose,” another “20/20” special will fill the two-hour block on Monday, March 15 at 8:00/7:00c.
Jesse and all our other favorites, promise to reveal some interesting tidbits, including what really goes on behind the scenes on the dates, in the Bachelor mansion and at the rose ceremonies. How much of what we see is real and what’s edited to tell a story that will drive ratings upwards? How shocked are the contestants at the way they are portrayed, when they finally get to see the show, long after they’ve returned home? Is Mike Fleiss a genius or just a master manipulator? Does Chris Harrison spend any time with the participants during filming other than at the rose ceremonies? Are any of them sorry they agreed to do the show, or will they all say it was the highlight of their lives?
It sounds like good fun and I think Fleiss has found the perfect formula to keep the Bachelor going for another five years.
