Alexis Bellino, probably one of the hottest Christian wives on TV, recently counseled Gretchen on why she has the perfect marriage.  Maybe now, but television has a way of taking a toll on relationships. Just look at how miserable Tamra and her hubby are? They have the same controlling,  we never spend a day apart marriage, and we want to wring each others neck.

In a recent interview she said…

“My husband and I are in therapy once a week, and we’re very spiritual. We’re in church every week,” she said. “With those two on our sides — a therapist to help us communicate through the trials we do suffer and God to lean on for support — I feel we are strong enough to conquer anything.”

Her Midwest upbringing I guess does a wife good…

“Growing up in such a small hometown and in the Midwest just allowed me to stay down to earth, allowed me to keep my priorities in line,” she said. “It’s easy out here in California to get caught up in the lifestyle. I feel like Missouri and my parents and our hometown just helps keep me level-headed through all of it.

Our girl Alexis Dietrich, her maiden name, gradated from Hannibal High School in 1995, then went to the University of Missouri before moving to New York. Unhappy in the Big Apple, she and her first husband moved to California, where Bellino felt right at home.

“The minute I got off the plane, I said this is where I belong,” she said. “I can’t imagine living anywhere else.”

Divorced after a year in the Golden State, Bellino managed a health club, did personal training and was “completely content” with her two little dogs when she met entrepreneur Jim Bellino.

It wasn’t love at first sight, she admits, but “after a second ‘real’ date, that was it. We were never apart a day after that.”

Why do these women who marry rich dudes always say, it wasn’t love at first sight. Of course it was, when you looked at their pocketbook. Now the couple is happily married, live in Newport Beach and have three little kids. I wonder if being on TV will change Alexis? On the advice to Gretchen, I’m not sure if she really needs any.
