Phil Varone, the reality star of Dr. Drew’s Sex Rehab, in a new interview, gives fans the scoop on what he’s doing now. A charming Libra, he’s definitely a ladies man.  In his new interview, he addresses the Amber Smith rumors and whether or not he has a girlfriend. Check it out.

PV: Well, yeah. Let’s face it, when my agent called me about doing the show, I had to think about it. I’m an addict, in general. It’s how I live and it’s what I deal with. When she called about it, I thought, “You think I’m a sex addict? Really?” Well, let’s see. I really have no relationship. My love life is shit. I’ve ruined so many relationships. So I thought, yeah maybe there is a problem. I thought, “I’m gonna go into this but I’m gonna go in as a rockstar with a chip on my shoulder, but I’ll be open to whatever happens.” Drew had me crying within 3 minutes. All he had to do was mention my mother. That’s the one thing. It was pretty crazy. I got a lot more out of it than I thought I would. I still go to therapy. My therapist needs a therapist after seeing me.

Right now on the show they’re a couple episodes in. They’re playing up this whole crush I have on Amber, which is funny. They’re gonna use whatever is on tape to make the show interesting. But I still got a lot out of it, personally. I work out some stuff with my dad. There were things I kept inside that I’m dealing with now. I mean we filmed the show before and now it’s airing, but it’s still fresh and new. In no way am I healed. I am in a relationship, though. I thank the universe every day for my girlfriend. She has to deal with my rotten brain every  day and somehow makes it all right. She like a gift from the universe for getting through all of these bad, dark days. I’m also rebuilding my relationship with my kids. The show had a lot to do with that, too.
