Kandi Burruss, mourning the death of her uncle, is also heartbroken over the unexpected death of her ex fiance AJ. AJ, who was working at a local strip club, got into an altercation with another man by the name of Fredrick Richardson. During the fight, AJ suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to the hospital.

Tonight, police have arrested a man in the killing of Ashley Jewell, the former fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burruss, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The paper said Fredrick Richardson was arrested Saturday and charged with voluntary manslaughter in Jewell’s death.

Kandi Burruss is said to be devastated. She had been caring for AJ’s twin daughters, who chose to stay with her after the couple split. Funeral arrangements are being made and expected to take place late next week.
