Poor Kandi Burruss, her ex fiance died after sustaining head injuries from a fight outside a strip club, according to Atlanta TV station WSBTV.

Ashley Jewell, also known as A.J., “received a serious blow to the head,” Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows told the station. Jewell was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

AJ was Kandi’s main love interest on this season of RHOA. Bravo caught the struggle between Kandi and AJ as they tried to merge their two families. One main problem, Kandi’s mama disapproved of the relationship.

Kandi reacted to the news on her Twitter feed, which featured a photo of her and Jewell in the background. “im just in one of those moods where i don’t wanna talk, i don’t wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone,” she wrote. “I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ’s children. that’s who im the most concerned 4.”
