According to UK News, Simon Cowell wants to bring X Factor to the USA. Will he be a judge? No. But it looks like Paula will have a new job.

According to sources, Simon Cowell is even closer to signing a deal to take The X Factor to America. The X Factor creator is said to be in talks with TV network Fox over a deal worth 60 million a year.

Simon, who is open about his stateside ambitions, may not feature on the judging panel, instead choosing to produce the series from behind the cameras.

The negotiations with Fox are also said to include Simon signing on for two more series as a judge on American Idol.
