Diablo Cody, our Gemini girl, is riding high on her amazing writing career in Hollywood.  Her sitcom, “United States of Tara,” has been renewed for another season. Up next, is her new movie “Jennifer’s Body” a funny Vampire flick starring smoking hot Megan Fox. The film showcases her raw sense of humor and her ability to use sexuality in a fun and amusing way.

Cody, who took the pen name Diablo Cody (diablo is Spanish for “devil”) after repeatedly listening to the song El Diablo by Arcadia while passing through Cody, Wyoming. Her real name is Brook Busey, no relation to Gary Busey hopefully.

She’s been a jack of all trades, including former stripper, and peep show girl prominently featured on her talented resume. She previously dated Jon Hunt and now is rumored to be dating some WWE guy? Interesting.

What does she think about how teen girls are portrayed in cinema?

“I think teenage girls deserve a better shake in cinema. ‘God knows people might say the dialogue in Juno is too stylized, but I’ve met so many hyperarticulate teenage girls who are not just shallow and image-obsessed.”

I would have to agree, teens grow up very fast these days. Astrologically, it looks like next year the cosmos will be aligned in Diablo’s favor. More awards and possibly marriage?  Either way, I expect a long and fruitful career for Ms. Cody.
