EW is reporting that Twilight star Robert Pattinson, 23, was hit by a taxi cab in New York City Thursday afternoon as he tried to escape a crowd of fans. Girls, you need to calm down.

The actor is in Manhattan filming the movie Remember Me, where he has been hounded by overzealous fans eager to get a look at him. On Thursday, he reportedly attempted to run across the street near The Strand bookstore and was clipped on his hip by a cab. The driver reportedly stopped on impact. Pattison walked away from the scene and did not appear to be seriously hurt. The actor recently hired his own security team, I guess the fans are getting out of control.

Our Taurus boy better remember to look both ways before crossing the street. Lets hope our vampire hunk has a speedy recovery.
