Wow, interesting news today. According to Perez Hilton and TMZ, Sony and Cher’s daughter, Chastity Bono has begun the process of transitioning from female to male. Chastity, a sensitive Pisces, has decided to follow her heart and become a dude.

Bono recalls that she was a tomboy as a child, and when she made appearances with her parents on The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, she insisted on being dressed to match her father rather than her mother. She first identified herself as a lesbian when she saw the film Personal Best at the age of thirteen.

Bono’s publicist confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, it’s true — Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity.”

His publicist added, “He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz’s hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his ‘coming out’ did nearly 20 years ago.”
