I have received several email messages from Melissa Rycroft fans upset by Jewel’s recent comment on her blog. She 
suggested that Melissa should be eliminated from the competition due to her injury. Was she right? You can’t blame a girl for standing by her man, especially when we are getting close to the finals.
Here’s what Jewell said”
“As bad as I felt for Melissa, who I hope feels better and comes back, I’m used to our cowboy athletes that live by the rule: “ride hurt or don’t get a score.” It may seem harsh, but it seems like the only way to keep things honest. If you’re too hurt to compete then you can’t compete. But if I were to be on the show I might change my mind. Hahah!”
I understand Melissa’s fans being upset, I’m TEAM MELISSA all the way. On the other hand, I’m a HUGE Jewell fan as well. I think it was a friendly “wife” comment in regards to the competition. Melissa will be back next week to dance her ass off. It’s my guess she will make it to the finals. Crossing my fingers.
I think Jewel is wrong. Melissa’s doctor told her she could still compete, so she is! IF Jewel’s doctor told her she could still compete, she probably would have stayed in the competion. Melissa should win this!
Jewel is just plain jealous !! Very obvious……she doesn’t have that unbelievable sparkle or inner/outer beauty that Melissa has ! Note to Jewel: Cowboy competitions have their own special rules and Dancing competitions have their own special rules. Two very diff. sports, two very different sets of rules. Jewel, I sense sour grapes !
