Our sweet Pisces girl, Melissa Rycroft, was named People’s 100 Most Beautiful People 2009. You go girl! Wow, her career is on fire.  As they say, when one door closes, another one opens. She totally deserves it.

This week on Dancing With the Stars, Melissa had to skip her performance on Monday night due to an injury.  E! Online reports:

Melissa Rycroft may have had to sit out Tuesday’s performance show on Dancing With the Stars, but that’s not going to stop her from hitting the Viennese waltz and samba next week with full force.

“I’m getting there. Right now I’m just numb from shock, so I feel fine,” says Melissa, who was treated on Monday for a hairline rib fracture and was only able to be judged based on a rehearsal performance.

“The doctor said not to do lifts,” she continues. “But the two dances we can do lifts in, we’ve already done. So from this point forward it’s about pain management.”

On being judged based on her rehearsal alone, she says, “I was cringing. You never want to be judged on something you aren’t doing full-out. I think if you did the numbers before the show, we shouldn’t be here right now. Mathematically, we shouldn’t be here right now. But I think that shows the audience 100 percent saved us.”
