Thank goodness, John Mayer cleared the air today. He announced he doesn’t have a girlfriend, which means his latest arm candy is just a hook up.

Insisting he’s still single, rocker John Mayer has laughed off reports he’s moved on to romance another actress after his split from Jennifer Aniston. The couple’s on/off relationship came to an end in March, and Mayer was dating aspiring star Scheana Marie.

The 23-year-old actress fueled rumors she was the singer’s latest conquest when she described Mayer as “a great guy,” adding, “He’s funny and sweet.”

But Mayer is adamant there is no truth to the dating claims, telling X17, “If I had a girlfriend, she would be incredibly offended by me saying, ‘I DON’T have a girlfriend’, so that’s the proof.”

Mayer the player, is one charming Libra guy. Totally lethal,  he loves the ladies and the ladies love him. I guess he’s not ready for a serious relationship anytime soon.
