I think CW is making a big mistake by not bringing back Heather Locklear. As Amanda, she would bring in die-hard fans, baby boomers, who would turn their teen daughters on the show. She’s worth the extra cash, plus the drama in her personal life, means she will keep the gossip blogs buzzing.

Personally, I don’t think Ashley Simpson is that big of a draw, she’s married and a mom now. Plus, her new clothing line bombed.

But Heather priced herself off the show, The ENQUIRER learned.

“In these tough economic times, the network simply wouldn’t – or couldn’t – pay Heather the kind of money she thought she deserved.

“She wanted at least $100k per episode, which is what she could have commanded in pre-recession days, and the CW would only pay half that…or less.”

In addition, Heather wasn’t happy with the second-banana story lines producers had in mind for Amanda. Instead, they want to focus on the new, young cast that includes Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Jessica Lucas, Michael Rady, Katie Cassidy. and

Our Libra girl needs to get her life back on track. She’s reportedly engaged to hottie Jack Wagner and I think starring in the NEW Melrose Place would be perfect for her. Hopefully, the CW will have a change of heart and bring her back.
