In Nostraboris’ hilarious new post, he “exposes” the light and dark side of the elusive Hollywood dream. It all started after he had placed a spoof ad on the “writing gigs” section on Craigslist. It read:

-WRITER WANTED (no Pay)-

“I tried writing a really good screenplay myself, with little result. For a while I considered being a comedian, and decided to write some jokes, and maybe do like a one man show, but I am totally stuck. As of late, I am focusing my energy on the blogisphere, so I can be a writer at home.

I’ve had brief success writing really short copy, in the political, and celebrity genre. (My work has been extensively published on the message boards of sites like The Huffington Post, Youtube, and Digg).

My creativity seems to hit a wall about 3 minutes after I begin to write. The thing is, I am better at paraphrasing others’ ideas than actually presenting and developing original ideas. In fact, I have no actual concepts, ideas, or writing skills, and absolutely no access to any form of venture capital. I have never been part of any creative project, ever, so I decided it would be better to outsource the actual work.

This is why, currently, I am collecting original screenplays, blogs, short stories, novels, sit com ideas, treatments, story boards, maybe some graphic art , or original music to take my career as an artist, or talent broker (whatever) to the next level.”
