Very sad news today. Liam Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson, was critically injured in a Montreal ski accident this
weekend. It appears Natasha wasn’t wearing a ski helmet when she took a tumble during a private lesson.
Actress Natasha Richardson, reportedly in serious condition with a head trauma in a Montreal hospital after a ski accident Monday at Mont Tremblant, was walking around and feeling fine for an hour after her accident, a Mont Tremblant spokesperson says.
“She was laughing and joking and she walked to her room on her own,” Mont Tremblant spokesperson Catherine Lacasse said.
The British-born Richardson, 45, was not wearing a ski helmet when she was taking a private ski lesson on the Nansen, a beginners’ run at Mont Tremblant, she added.
Richardson, wife of actor Liam Neeson and daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave, was at the bottom of the run, in what is known as the flats, during the mid-afternoon lesson when she fell and tumbled down the hill.
According to media reports, her two young boys were with her at the time of the accident. Her hubby Liam Neeson, was in Toronto shooting a film and rushed to be by her side. She is in the ICU unit and doctors are monitoring her progress.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Natasha, Liam, and his children. We wish her a speedy recovery.
