Choosing a dog for your family can be a big decision. Especially, if that dog is going to be part of the first family. According to recent news reports, the Obama’s will be receiving their bundle of joy on April 1st. What kind of dog are they getting? A Portuguese Water Dog. Interesting choice.

SUPER CUTE dogs, according to PGAA, they are a medium size dog that can live in a house or an apartment. They’re easy to train, intelligent, and very entertaining. Also, they don’t shed much.

The Obamas are getting a dog in April and are looking for a rescue Portuguese Water Dog.

First lady Michelle Obama tells People magazine that the target date for the arrival of the family pet is after her daughters’ spring break trip, in April, though 7-year-old Sasha is convinced the dog is coming on April 1.

“So Sasha says ‘April 1st.’ I said, ‘April.’ She says, ‘April 1st.’ It’s like, April!” said Mrs Obama.

I think they made a good choice. He’s adorable!!!
