I’m finding it hard to get into American Idol this season. Maybe I’m just burnt out on all the reality shows I watch. One contestant I find intriguing is Tatiana Del Toro. The songstress who can’t stop crying over everything. Well maybe she can finally put the Kleenex away. The 23-year-old sobbin’ singer was revealed as one of the 36 semifinalists during Wednesday’s episode of “American Idol.”

Del Toro and the 53 other remaining hopefuls had to face their final judgment during the last phase of competition before the semifinals of the popular Fox singing contest.

Other semifinalists include: over-the-top comedian Nick “Normund Gentle” Mitchell, graduate student Anoop Desai, dueling piano player Matt Giraud, mother-of-three Lil Rounds, theater actor Adam Lambert, oil rig worker Michael Sarver, welder Matt Breitzke, and blind pianist Scott MacIntyre.

Paccitti, who was hired and then fired from the 20th anniversary production of Annie advanced to the top finalist group on tonight’s American Idol as well, joining her was former Wicked cast member Lambert. Each has been rumored the ones to watch. I don’t know about you, but I’m not watching. I think a “unknown singer” should win. My personal favorite is the blind pianist Scott MacIntyre. Go Scott!!!
