The plot continues to thicken. I have been following a local Michigan’s blog post about Molly and Jason Mesnick. It seems that Reality Steve HAS let the cat out of the bag. What no one knows is the real love story behind Molly and Jason. Does Jason actually dump Melissa on TV (we think so)? Does he immediately start dating Molly? Or was he already dating Molly behind Melissa’s back? Either way, it sucks. I really don’t think Jason realizes this may be a PR nightmare for him.
According to sources, it looks like Jason was having an “email affair” with Molly but not actually meeting up with her. Personally, I think emotional affairs can sometimes be worse than physical ones. Why? Because they are based on fantasy.
Press writer and frequent guest blogger Lorliee Craker found Realty Steve’s blog very intriguing. She said his conspiracy theory makes sense in a few parts.
“I think that this might actually have something to it, because this theory, that Jason chooses Melissa, changes his mind and later chooses Molly, actually lines up with what my sources have been saying,” Craker said.
“Three sources who know Molly and have been in touch with her since the show started have said she probably doesn’t win, from what they can gather, but that she has told them all the experience was ‘life changing.’
“I also think the fact that there is a second ‘After the Rose’ special is odd, and also seems to give a little more weight to this theory. I’ve also heard that Molly has been making trips to L.A. ‘for work,’ which would corroborate with all of this as well. What I don’t think is true, though, is that Jason would pick Melissa or anyone because the show told him to. He may be a kissing fool, but he’s not an ice cold lying dog. At least, he doesn’t seem like one to me.”
I really do wish Molly and Melissa the best. I don’t know what to think of Jason, except that he’s a really fickle guy. He has gone through three women in one year and if I were Molly, I wouldn’t trust him at all. Of course, if her parents end up hating him, we know the relationship will be over before it even started.
This season was definitely dramatic but if I want to watch “super scripted” reality, I will turn on VH1. At least they aren’t quite so vicious and they are super hilarious. I truly hope that ABC and Jason didn’t throw Melissa under the bus like this. If they did, Melissa should hire herself a good publicist and tell the fans WHAT REALLY HAPPENED! No one deserves to be blindsided like this, it’s just cruel.
One interesting tidbit, last seasons Bachelorette winner Jesse, had his photo prominently featured in the middle on the official ABC website. This season, Molly’s is placed in the middle as well. That usually is a clue to who is the final winner. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Stay tuned.
