The Oscar nominations have been announced today. I’m so bummed that Leo DiCaprio got shut out of the “Best Actor” category. He was AMAZING in Revolutionary Road along with Kate Winslet.

The nominations are as follows:

Best Actress

• Angelina Jolie – Changeling
• Anne Hathaway – Rachel Getting Married
• Melissa Leo – Frozen River
• Meryl Streep – Doubt
• Kate Winslet – The Reader****I predict she will win

Best Actor

• Brad Pitt – The Curious Case of Benjamin Button***I want Brad to win – great movie
• Richard Jenkins – The Visitor
• Frank Langella – Frost/Nixon
• Sean Penn – Milk
• Mickey Rourke – The Wrestler***I think Mickey will win – he totally deserves it also

Best Picture

• The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
• Frost/Nixon
• Milk
• The Reader
• Slumdog Millionaire***I think this film will win

Surprisingly, this was a great year for films. I have yet to see The Wrestler or Slumdog Millionaire. Ya gotta love Mickey Rourke. He was so sweet and humble at the Golden Globes. He’s a wonderful actor, I’m so glad he got his life back on track.
