As Ted Haggard does the media dance, with his “stand by her man” wife Gayle, what does Nostraboris have to say about all of this?

Ted Haggard was so revolted by his lust for Bro-mance that he spent his life loudly preaching against it. This way he hoped to both fool himself, and the God he was convinced would reject him for it.

But concealing his true identity by loudly assuming another, could not smother his constant longing. No facade of Evangelical bigotry could keep Ted from acting out his Meth-laden Gay porn fantasies.

When the closet door finally opened, shining the light on his secret identity, Ted could have escaped to the Castro without ever looking back. But things were more complicated than that. By repeating the hate mantra by day, and dutifully boning his wife while thinking of Spartacus at night, he cultivated an alibi so elaborate, the lie could easily hold it’s own.

According to a recent UCLA report: seven percent of gay men and 30 percent of bisexual men are currently in a heterosexual marriage. Unfortunately, for some gay men and lesbian women, they live in denial for their entire life.

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive counseling, overseen by four ministers. On February 6, 2007 one of those ministers, Tim Ralph, stated that Haggard “is completely heterosexual.” Ralph later said he meant to say that therapy “gave Ted the tools to help to embrace his heterosexual side.

Haggard born under the sign of Cancer, is definitely a Momma’s boy. I watched his interview, he can be quite charming, and VERY MANIPULATIVE. I do believe he loves his family, I also believe he is gay. It’s a fascinating story, you can catch HBO’s documentary, The Trials of Ted Haggard this week.
