Nostraboris is back after giving thanks and has lots to say. He’s dishing the dirt not only on Walmart, but Ann Coulter as well. Over the
weekend, a Walmart employee was trampled to death on Black Friday, by an over zealous shopping crowd. WTF?
Jdimytai Damour of Jamaica, Queens, was pushed to the ground by the 2,000-plus crowd just before 5 a.m. as management was preparing to open the store, which is located across from the main Green Acres Mall building.
Hundreds stepped over, around and on the 34-year-old worker as they rushed into the store. “This crowd was out of control,” said Nassau Police Det. Lt. Michael Fleming, whose squad is investigating.
“Nobody was trying to help him,” said shopper Nakea Augustine, who was in the line. “They were rushing in the store, rushing, rushing, rushing.”
I haven’t been to Long Island, but the Wal-Mart in Los Angeles is like the Superdome right after hurricane Katrina: a post-catastrophic mess with poor people aimlessly wandering around.
Wal-Mart not only lowers our standard of living, it lowers our moral, sense of community and unity and hollows out our souls. Only in a desolate place, long abandoned by peace, love and understanding does a man get killed for standing between a mob and some priced down TV sets.
If I yell “FIRE” in a crowded nightclub, simply to drive traffic to the curb where I own a hot dog stand, causing a stampede that kills people, I get sued and locked up.
When Wal-Mart advertises sales of big screen TV’s on a a first come first serve basis, and causes people to get killed
in the stampede it causes, they get free advertising. We just joined the third world.
It’s time as Americans we get our life in perspective. Mr. Damour was only try to make a living to support his family, not go into combat mode for greedy shoppers.
Our thoughts and prayers go out Jdimytai Damour family. We hope that Walmart will compensate them for their tragic loss and implement more security in the future. For the shoppers, shame on you. NOTHING in Walmart is worth more than a human life.
