It looks like the economy sucks even for American Idol winners. In a MTO.com exclusive report, we discovered that Fantasia’s North Caroline home has been siezed, and will be sold in auction next week. What happened to the mortgage companies helping out owners?

Our girl Fantasia, a sensitive Cancer girl, has had her ups and downs in life. Originally from North Carolina, Fantasia who became pregnant at age 16, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Zion Quari Barrino. She broke up with Zion’s father because, she alleges, he was physically abusive towards her.

Fantasia recently appeared on Jennifer Hudson’s self titled album, on the song ‘I’m His Only Woman.’ She also sang at the funeral of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother, and nephew in Chicago, IL.

On December 9, 2008, The Charlotte Observer reported that Barrino’s 6,200 square foot home in Charlotte’s Glynmoor Lakes at Piper Glen community is in foreclosure and will soon be up for auction. The home is reported to be worth over $1 million dollars. Her other 4,500 square foot home, also in Piper Glen, is unaffected.

Well at least she still has one home left. Hang on to it girl!!! Our girl was recently nominated for a Grammy, for her duo performance with Jennifer Hudson. Her new album hits records stores next year.
