It’s official, our favorite American Idol judge Simon Cowell, has called it quits with his longtime lady love. Terry Seymour keeping a stiff upper lip, says no one else was involved. So WHY did they break up? She wanted babies and he didn’t. As a parting gift, he bought her a very fancy house, and gave her a wad of cash.

Pals say the couple, together for six years, had been drifting apart for the past two months. Terri, 34, was notably absent when the X Factor supremo picked up a TV award this week.

She has now told friends: “We’ve split up. It’s very sad but we decided to go our separate ways. It just wasn’t working out between us. “There’s no one else involved and we want to remain friends.”

TV mogul Simon, 48, is believed to have bought her a house in Los Angeles as a parting present.

Now that Simon Cowell is officially single, will he hook up with Paula Abdul? I’m sure Paula would totally go for it, but she might be too old for Simon. Although, they WOULD make an interesting couple.
