Wow, what a weird week. TMZ and other papers are reporting that an obsessed Paula Abdul fan was found dead, in a parked car in front of the American Idol host’s house. They believe that the young woman died of either a drug overdose, or possible suicide. On top of that, the dead young woman Paula Godspeed, had also once tried out for American Idol. YIKES! How sad!

Just when we thought it was not physically possible for Paula Abdul’s life to get any weirder, an ex-American Idol contestant was found dead outside the reality show star’s house on Tuesday night.

Paula Goodspeed, 30, whose Idol audition aired during Season 5, appears to have died of a drug overdose, police say.

“Ms. Goodspeed’s mother had gone to [the sheriff's department] to report her daughter missing, and advised them that she might be suicidal,” says Los Angeles police Capt. James Miller, reports People. “The sheriffs determined that Ms. Goodspeed may be up in the vicinity by Paula Abdul’s house. Our officers discovered her vehicle parked on the street, and found her inside. She was unresponsive to officers.”

Paula is said to be shocked and sad by the tragedy. In previous years, Paula Godspeed had been caught in front Abdul’s house on multiple occasions. It said she had suffered from mental illness and was obsessed with Paula Abdul. Poor girl! Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and Paula Abdul.
