REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA - Why Did Lisa Wu Hartwell File For Bankruptcy?

Maybe they should change the shows name to “Broke Housewives of Atlanta.” The only housewife with REAL money islisawuhartwell1.jpg DeShawn Snow. According to news reports, NeNe Leakes has lost her home to foreclosure, Kim is selling her home, Sheree is still waiting on her divorce settlement, and Lisa Wu Hartwell had to file bankruptcy.

Lisa and her hubby Ed Harwell live in Duluth, in the exclusive gated community of St. Marlo Country Club. They own the Hartwell and Associates real estate firm, Lisa has a jewelry line, and a kids fashion line. She even has a business mantra, “If it doesn’t make me money, I don’t do it.” So what happened? Why did she file for bankruptcy?

In 2007, after a bad business investment over a movie Blackball, Lisa Wu Hartwell had to file for bankruptcy. In the bankruptcy documents, it stated she had gone by several names: Sharon Millette Wu, Sharon Lisa Sweat, and Lisa Wu-Sweat. Gosh, why so many names Lisa? Also, it looks like her ex hubby Keith Sweat actually loaned her $150k to make the film. Translation, she filed bankruptcy so she didn’t have to pay him back.

On a side note, originally the show was suppose to feature five black women and not Kim Zolciak. Thanks to NeNe hooking her up, Zolciak impressed the producers with her personality, and she was cast.

Next week, we get to see Kim and Lisa throw down. It should be interesting.
