Another Hollywood romance bites the dust. Paris Hilton has officially called it quits with her rocker bad boy, Benji Madden. Why the split? Inside sources say that Benji was way too controlling, some say he cheated, and others say it was because of her ex boyfriend Stavros. Breaking up during the holiday season has gotta suck.

Someone close to Hilton told People magazine the couple ended their 9-month-long romance a few days ago.

Madden, the guitarist for the band Good Charlotte, is the brother of Joel Madden, the father of Hilton friend Nicole Richie’s young daughter, Harlow.

“She is saddened by the breakup but they’re just too different and they wanted different things in life,” a source close to Hilton told People. “He was loyal and sweet but it was time to take a break.”

“She was just so busy lately and her work and travel schedule made it difficult for them to be together,” a source close to Hilton says. “She’s really very saddened by the split and wants some time to be alone and really focus on herself right now and her work.”

Translation, I met another dude, and I just got tired of Benji’s bs.

Paris born under the sign of Aquarius, is a girl who needs her space. Her boy Benji, is a soft and sweet Pisces guy. I would imagine he was threatened by her independence and I guess Paris didn’t dig being bossed around. She comes across as the type of woman who likes to wear the pants in the family.

Interesting tidbit, Paris was seen with Stavros in Miami over the weekend. I wonder if she was still with Benji at the time? My astrological prediction is that she will be hooking up with Stavros again. Stay tuned.
