Joyce Schwarz, the author of “The Vision Board: The Secret to an Extraordinary Life,” was kind enough to post a comment
on my recent post about Oprah’s vision board.
Following the principles of the popular book, “The Secret,” creating a vision board helps you become focused on what you want for the future. Whether it’s finding love, a better job, a new home, or a closer relationship with family and friends, the vision board brings it all together.
The author has even created a really cool Facebook app, where you can create and post your vision board to your profile. Really cool. If you want to share your vision with your friends, now is the time to get busy.
Thorsch created the Obama Vision Board on my request. I knew that Nick was working with President-elect Barack Obama’s team on the New Hampshire election. Looking back on those days, Nick explains,” I was glad to be doing as much as I could (in New Hampshire) to help this great man become our next President.”
He adds, ” Despite being in freezing conditions, no pay, and living on an air mattress in someone else’s house. the people were all good natured, smart and devoted to Obama’s cause, it was a good culture.”
OBAMA’S VISION: How did Thorsch pick the photos and phrases to put on Obama’s board? He reveals, ” I just searched the Internet for images symbolic of him and his campaign - him –inspiring crowds of people, connecting with individuals, receiving the endorsement of influential celebrities like Oprah, being a best selling author and of having a stable loving family.
I definitely noticed a change in peoples attitudes today. Most people looked more relaxed, happier faces, and definitely you could feel the energy of “hope” in the air.
I’m going to buy Joyce Schwarz book and create my own vision board. I haven’t decided what I want it to be yet. I will be in New York City next week for work, so I will take a timeout and figure out what 2009 will bring.

Wow! I didn’t know Obama had a vision board also! I just started mine and I’m already feeling more connected with my goals and dreams!
