Rumors are flying that Zac Efron is in negotiations to co-star with Johnny Depp, in Pirates of the Caribbean 4. In a recent interview with MTV, Zac Efron says the rumors aren’t true but he thinks starring in the movie would be awesome! Hint hint.

Personally, I think that Zac Efron and Johnny Depp would be great together. Maybe Zac Efron could be his “love child,” that would be pretty hilarious. Also, it will inject some “new blood” into the movie.

Zac Efron has denied reports that he’s been signed up for the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.

Newspapers and mags on both sides of the Atlantic claimed the High School Musical star would be hooking up with Johnny Depp and would be paid a cool £6 Million.

But he’s told MTV News it’s not true: “No one has talked to me about it. I didn’t even know [about it].” Efron described the idea of starring in a Pirates flick as “awesome,” adding: “I didn’t know anything about that, [But] cross your fingers for me guys!”

What we do know is that Disney is keen to have Zac star is HSM 4. Zac Efron oozes the Libra charm, it’s expected that HSM 3 will rake in over $35 million in the box office this weekend. On a personal note, Vanessa and Zac are rumored to be shacking up in her Studio City digs. They make a cute couple. HSM 3 hits movie theaters this Friday.
