This is the latest “really weird” and very creepy story to hit the internet. Last week, Fifty-year-old Kathleen Allmond
and her 30-year-old Tony Ray were booked on suspicion of embezzlement, elder abuse and conspiracy.
Both mother and son were living with Ramona Allmond, Kathleen’s mother, at her home. Police say 84-year-old Allmond apparently died in December, and her body was burned by Kathleen and Tony in a outdoor BBQ. The exact same BBQ where the family had cooked its Thanksgiving turkey. UGH!
Kathleen Allmond told investigators she made a necklace with a portion of her mother’s skull and posted a picture of herself wearing the necklace on her MySpace page.
Apparent human bones and dental remains were recovered from the barbecue. Deputies were alerted to the case after a relative called and said he hadn’t heard from his mother since December.
“It gets really weird when you have a piece of mom’s skull hanging around your neck,” Hosler said. “I’m not aware of any religion that allows you to burn your family members in the backyard and collect their pension.”
Investigators said they kept collecting her monthly retirement checks amounting to more than $25,000 since the elderly woman died in December.
Ramona’s other son became worried when he had not heard from his mom in several months. It was reported, the daughter Kathleen, even tried to disguise her voice on the phone to sound like her Mother. Sad and greedy people.
