It’s been a tough week for John McCain and Sarah Palin. His campaign ratings are falling faster than the Dow Jones stock
market. Yesterday, the Troopergate investigation found that Palin abused her government power in the case of her brother in law. What has happened to the Republican presidential campaign?
Personally, somewhere along the way I think McCain forgot who he was. The desire to win, superseded the needs of the voters. Instead of focusing on the issues, he allowed his campaign to become distracted by negativity. Initially he was the underdog, now he has allowed his campaign to spiral out of control, and he is having to put a muzzle on all the angry voters. I admire and respect the man, although I sincerely question his choice of Sarah Palin. Her political and personal life is messy and becoming more like an episode straight out of “Dallas” or “All My Children.”
Does McCain still have a chance? Of course he does, but a very slim one. He has one opportunity left, the debate on October 15th, to get his message to the voters. He needs to focus on the issues, be honest, and sincere on WHY he should be our President.
Sarah Palin I believe is becoming a huge distraction and is actually hurting his campaign. I believe she has continued to show poor judgement in her leadership skills and why in the world does her husband Todd Palin have so much access to the government office?
By far, this has been of the most exciting campaigns in history. We have two amazing candidates running for President. If astrological predictions are correct, Barack Obama will be our next President. Sarah Palin will have to go back to Alaska, she’s got some explaining to do. John McCain, I think it’s time he retires and hits the motivational speaker trail.

McCain seems so angry in these debates - as if he has disdain for Obama - he is very condescending to Obama. People may not want to vote for Obama - but he’s earned the right (through a very long primary election campaign!) to be there. I think McCain played it wrong the first two debates and if he changes his attitude this Wed (debate #3) - his base Republican’s will be angry. The Republican base apparantly hates and is scared of this “arab” “terrorist” - crazy, huh?
On another note - I think back in August your site said that Sarah Palin would start to unravel in October and you were right!
