If you’ve been watching CNN today, the political rallies are attracting all the nutbags across the country. Do we really want
a President and Vice President that incite racial hatred amongst wackos and crazies across our country? What was McCain and Palin thinking? Our country has come so far, to support equal rights, civil rights, and they supposedly hold the “moral” ground.
Thank God, McCain is speaking out against people inciting hatred at his rallies. This is his “big plan” for the USA? Treat his campaign like a Ku Klux Klan rally. This is getting ridiculous.
The Secret Service confirmed Friday that it had investigated an episode reported in The Washington Post in which someone in Palin’s crowd in Clearwater, Fla., shouted “kill him,” on Monday, meaning Obama. There was “no indication that there was anything directed at Obama,” Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren told AP. “We looked into it because we always operate in an atmosphere of an abundance of caution.”
Palin, at a fundraiser in Ohio on Friday, told supporters “it’s not negative and it’s not mean-spirited” to scrutinize Obama’s associations. But Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania an author of 15 books on politics, says the vitriol has been encouraged by inflammatory words from the stage.
“Red-meat rhetoric elicits emotional responses in those already disposed by ads using words such as ‘dangerous’ ‘dishonorable’ and ‘risky’ to believe that the country would be endangered by election of the opposing candidate,” she said.
In two events this week, warm-up speakers at GOP rallies have used Obama’s middle name, Hussein, to seed doubts about the Democrat, a tactic meant to draw attention to the false rumors that Obama is a Muslim, as well as to belittle him. “On Nov. 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened,” a sheriff told Palin’s Florida rally.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Let’s hope this week both parties stick to the issues!

Palin’s a good looking woman, but I think looks alone aren’t really enough to qualify you as the leader of the free world. An a non-american, I’m glad that the republicans got beat, I have no real issue with McCain, but god forbid something should happen to him and Palin ends up the most powerful person on the planet!
