LYNNE SPEARS – Britneys Mom Thinks Teenage Pregnancy is a Joke!

Britney Spears’ mom has been making the talk show circuit rounds this week. Her new “memoir” hit bookshelveslynnespears1.jpg yesterday, in the book she “outs” Britney, and pulls out every skeleton she can find. Why would she sell her daughter out like that? It seems that anything is for sale these days.

In the book, she claims Britney started drinking at 13, lost her virginity at 14, and was doing drugs by the time she was 16. Excuse me, but where were you Lynne at this time? I think it provides some interesting insight into why Britney had a meltdown after motherhood.

According to the SF Gate:

Britney Spears’ mom started to chuckle when she first learned her 16-year-old daughter Jamie Lynn was pregnant — because she thought it was a joke. Lynne Spears has revealed the teenage actress handed her a note and told her to read it alone in the bathroom of the family’s home. It was the first time Spears realized her daughter was having a baby with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, but she initially refused to believe what she read.

In an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Wednesday), Spears said, “I thought it was a joke. … I kept waiting for the punchline.”

Since when do teenagers joke about “pregnancy” to their parents? I’m sorry but I think her book is a cheap shot at fame. She’s been riding on the coattails of her kids success for the last ten years. Is pimping out her daughters the only skill set she has? I don’t know, I just feel sorry for Britney and Jamie Lynn, her book just seems completely shameless to me.

It’s rumored she was paid a $1 million advance for the “tell all” book. I’m sure it will be a bestseller but she’s definitely not going to win any parenting awards.
