Now that Date My Ex is over, fans still dying to know if Jo and Lucas are still together. In a previous post, Lucas posted a personal message on my blog and said they were no longer dating. That he felt she was still in love with Slade and I would have to agree. The good news is that he has a new girlfriend. Congrats!

Still, Lucas did win the competition and had some heartfelt comments about dating that he wanted to share with friends.

When it comes to dating, Lucas James says that there is one piece of advice that’s pretty easy to follow, and will really work in the long run.

“My advice is dating is not a game, nor is it a competition. If you’re truly looking for someone that you want to spend a lot of time with in the future then be true to yourself and don’t act or dress a certain way because you may think someone may like it,” Lucas James explained. “On your date find a fun place that has a good atmosphere to avoid awkward moments of silence. For men, so many of them try to impress women with flashy clothes, cars, jewelry, houses – but in the long run you want to find a woman who going to like you for you and not what you own. I don’t date a lot so there’s my two cents!”

No word on whether there will be a sequel. But knowing Bravo and Jo, they will try to squeeze another 15 minutes out of the Slade and Jo soap opera.
